OS Daily - Sunday 15th June

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for Sunday 15 June. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning all, blue sky outside the window again
I do wish I could sleep in late sometimes though...! How can it be the middle of June already??? This year is hurtling past as fast as the last one, if not more so.
Off to Bognor this morning to take little sis home, should be back by lunchtime, then pottering, tidying, packing for Spa break tomorrow.
Did a roast duck for dinner yesterday - Mr T had been doing them half-price (it was still £6.50!) but made a nice change
(((((((hugs)))))) to all those poorly, sad or having tough times.
Am sure there is more to say but obviously need more tea to start functioning properly.
Have a good day all.
Edit: just caught up on the last of yesterday's thread, PenPin glad you are feeling bit better & Granny, nice to hear from you when you feel up to it, look after yourselves when you don't feel so good. Welcome Poppyoscar

:hello: happy fathers day!
the poor father in this house has just left for work and won't be back until 8pm. So spoiling will start then. Going to asda when I finish this coffee to get the food shopping and will get something special for tea. I have £8 of vouchers to use. will make his favourite banoffee pie for pudding.
dishwasher is on, first load in machine. must do some ironing as it is taking over the livingroom. Kids are home today so will be getting a chore list to complete, starting with their rooms.
need to check my pots in the garden. noticed last night that despite the showers we've had the soil was looking quite dry. will take the chance to give them a feed when I water them. The plants are starting to fill out and look good.
hope everyone has a lovely sunday.x x x0 -

ours is open 24 hours/7 days a week. this is a great time to go.can park right at the door. they stack the shelves at night, so everything is full and there are no customers cluttering up the aisles. only thing to dodge is the man who rides around on a huge machine cleaning the floors....x x x0

Morning all
Bright morning here, hope it lasts. Well, waste of time going to the docs yesterday. He was called away as they were short of out of hours docs so he had to cover. So I have an appt for tomorrow evening instead.
Was going to make another lemon drizzle cake yesterday but ended up making individual ones and some chocolate muffins so best of both worlds there!!
Not much going on today. Change beds, ironing, cook roast chicken dinner and then the conservatory and a good book might end up calling me, sorting out the afternoon!!;)
Hugs to all - byeeeeeeeee0 -

I'm jealous
Ours is 24 hours, but shuts at 10pm Saturday night, then just 10-4 on Sunday, & reopens Monday morning again. But it's always early on a Sunday morning early that I would go if I could.
Enjoy!!!Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Morning everyone
Happy Father's Day to all the Dads out there
DH is picking DD up from her Brownie camp this morning so she'll give him his card and little pressie around lunchtime.
Want to get in DD's bedroom quickly this morning and give it a tidy up (it's always much quicker when they're not there
)
Had quick and easy hotdogs for tea last night, so as I got the sausages out of the freezer it will be sausage and pasta bake tonight (without the onions and tomatoes  )
A medium size pile of ironing to do today, I did masses on Thursday, and a quick hoover round and hopefully I will be able to get on with some knitting later on.
Have a great day everyone (((((hugs)))))Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)0 -

Morning all
Up too early this morning - more on that later.
Had a lovely birthday lunch for dd - we ended up in pizza hut as the numpty who was supposed to book the restaurant (exoh) didn't and it would have been a 1 and a half hour wait for a table - dgs was pretty hungry and was already singing a one line song about chips so that was never going to work.
Interstingly Mr CaringSharing turned up with a company car and a brand new blackberry - yes folks he's been promoted but alas can't afford to up the maintenance - bless. He stayed over last night - which was news to me until about 10pm - something to do with Father's Day. I was woken by a bing bong bing noise at 6.30. for some reason I thought it was a car alarm. got up eventually to investigate and it's the blessed blackberry - I've just opened the spare room door and chucked it at his head.
today's plans are to go to a family fun day at the local high school with dgs - there will be a fire engine and other nee-naws there which is pure heaven for a 3yo boy - should be fun
have a good day allI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Morning All
Not a happy bunny at all today. Had the hairdresser round last night. Asked for a trim with the layers put back in. She went straight in and took 3 inches off my hair, and put the shortest layer underneath instead of on top as I'd asked:eek: I look awful. Meant to be going to the tennis finals next weekend, but unless I can find a hat, I'm not going. I'll have to wear a hat to work for at least a week to let it grow out a bit. I'm really upset about it. Won't be using her again. I mean who just lops a load of hair off?? Surely you do it bit by bit
Sorry to rant, but it's really annoyed me. I have NEVER had hair this short. And it's curly so looks even shorter.
The car's broken again. The electrics this time, so had a panic to get to work. Using Mum's car. Think I've got no choice but to get a new (second hand) car now. It's an expense I really don't need, but I have to have a reliable car to get to work.
Dinner tonight will be sausages, potatoes and veg. Not sure about pudding. Mum wants to get some strawberries for jam, but not sure if that'll happen today or later in the week.
Hope everyone's okComping, Clicking & Saving for Change0
