Have you noticed the don't throw food away challenge on the OS board?
That sounds interesting, I want us to be quite strict on the food front this month so that could be just the thing.my little boy is also due mid october and will be my first child
Congratulations Lunar! Yay somebody else due the same time as meYou got lucky having a friend who also has a boy. My two friends who already have babies and my OH's sister all have boys and as I am expecting a girl that isn't too helpful LOL. Do you have plans for a nursery?

Well, I have had an expensive couple of days. Although, most of it has been things for the house which were useful needed things as opposed to wants. All have been budgeted for too. In fact we got some things under budget so spent more on the microwave.

Tommorrow I am going to go through my budget and see what extra I can pay off the dreaded credit cards. I also plan to see what else I can find to sell on ebay. I certainly need to get back in the swing of things!

I have gone through my finances and I am so glad I have kept a spending diary. There is definite room for improvement!

Well done with the spending diary - I use a computer package called quicken (bought it like 5 years ago with the intention of using but only installed it in april) and find it so useful to know EXACTLY where the money is going, not that there is a few hundred just dissappeared on goodness only knows what! It gives me ideas of where I need to watch myself!
And well done on being able to pay the CC back instead of adding to it, I had to add to mine (not ours) this month so gonna have to claw that back!
Hope you sorted the stuff for work out, once you've done something about it you can get it out of your mind!
Keep up the good work!

LOL I have kept mine fairly upto date and it still shocks me, mainly though it has made me increasingly aware of the ever increasing costs of fuel and food!
