Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 14 june. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning, early one for me:D
ds1 has been sent back to bed as he has a sore throat, head etc and doesnt look well, so he is off to get some more sleep
was going to go a long walk today but doesnt look like it now, raining anyway, got to go to post office anyway to post some letters
had chicken and lentil curry last night, well it kept dh happy anyway:rolleyes:
going to make something veggie tonight, to annoy him:D
haribo - im so sorry to hear your sad news, it was really good of the vet to come out to you though, hugs to you and family
anniestar - hope you and phoebe are doing ok today, hugs
penny pincher - hope your feeling a bit better today, take care, hugs xx
hugs
susie

Morning. Looks like you beat me to the post by a few seconds..
Saturday and it's a bit damp down here.
I don't feel 100% as there is a bit of a stomach thing going around.
Work today at 1pm, which gives me some time to tidy up the place and get some groceries in.
The OH is pooped after teaching all week, but is delighted to have found out that she has passed her PGCE and is now a newly qualified teacher.
Son is delighted as we have booked his air tickets for the USA as he is off to spend the summer there staying with our good friends. I had a bit of a trauma trying to get rail tickets to London and I am still mystified as to why the website can offer one price and yet you go to the station and the price is £20 more. So I booked the tickets on the website and will pick them up at the station...
Well I guess it's time for coffee....NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the Haribo twins :j have a great day
Penny-Pincher hope today is a lot better for you x

Morning all
Off to docs for 8.30. He wants to see all his patients who have thyroid problems. Dunno what the point of it all is, I have my blood taken once a year to check that levels are ok, what else can they do?
Oh well , might find out more when I get there.
Off to do some shopping afterwards. No cooking tonight :j we are having a Chinese takeaway to celebrate yesterday's wedding anniversary .
Must buy a new sandwich tin and make another lemon drizzle cake, it got eaten so quickly when I made it on Tuesday!!! Perhaps it will come out in once piece this time.
Right off to get dressed and hang washing out before I go
Have a good day everyone0 -
:hello: morning everyone.
Today is normally my non-OS day. but the house is a total disgrace. when I work extra the house seems to just collapse. had a shout at DS who was here all day yesterday. to run round with the hoover and fill the dishwasher won't have taken him 10 minutes but would have made the world of difference to the state of the house
waiting for a phone to be delivered, supposed to have been here yesterday. might phone virgin at 8 and see if they can track it. don't want to waste time hanging around if there is no hope of a delivery today. this is the second Virgin disaster I've had..not pleased at all, been a loyal customer for 8 years now
just reading back I sound a right moan today...ignore me :rotfl::rotfl:
Another coffee and a surf and I'll be fine :A
hugs to everyone who is sad or unwell. you know who you are

Morning all - N9eav, hope you feel better soon.
Just a quick post from me because I've had another bad night's sleep; thought this cold was done and dusted but the after effects seem to be going on and on! I spend most of the night sniffling these days.
Anyway, (((hugs))) to all those who are in need and I'll catch up with you all later.

Morning all,
Haribo, so sorry to hear about Parsley
Your vet sounds lovely, very thoughtful. Annie, how is Phoebe doing?
((((((hugs)))))) to all those needing them - or who would just like one anyway.
Happy Birthday to Miss & Miss Haribo too!! And congratulations to MrsN9eav on passing her PGCE - well done!!!!!
Twink, are you going to Italy as well a bit nearer the time? Hope they have better weather than Rooney! Just shows money can't buy everything
PenPin, hope you are feeling better this morning - have a girly day with your DD, maybe sit & watch a chick-flick together??
Dogrose, I know how you feel - there's nothing worse than coming in to a mess when someone's been around & ignored it! My DD's are good at doing that... like you say, 10 or 15 minutes of doing something would have made it look much better.
TNG - hope you're ok :kisses3: :happyhear
Looks a bit overcast out today. Will try & get some washing out. Got a duck to roast later today as a late birthday dinner for my mum (it was tuesday but she was away in scotland). Any tips about what to do with the duck??
Hoping to meet Mr Nearly New Boyfriend over the weekend
Then off to Grayshott Monday morning - don't know which I'm more excited about!!!!
Want to make some cakey bits and bread over the weekend as well. Oh and got to take little sis back to Bognor tomorrow morning too - hope I can get some petrol somewhere....Live your life until love is found, or love's gonna get you down" (credit to Mika!)

Morning all, Sunny here in S/set so have the sheets on the line, DH and I couldn't sleep so got up at 5.30. Plans for today, do some gardening, car needs washing, mow the lawn, and general housework. Both DD's and DGD are coming this afternoon , they have some goodies for DH for Fathers Day.
Hope to have a BBQ if weather holds out.
We had a viewing y/day and have 2 more this morning for the house to let. Still fingers crossed.
Must put the BM on, have another coffe and catch up on previous thread.
Hope the weekend is a happy one for all. ((((((huge hugs to all in need))))))0 -

Lovely sunny morning here, which is just as well as we are having 5 tons of topsoil delivered  We have a section of the garden which we have decided to use as a vegetable plot, so with that and the allotment, hopefully we will have lots of lovely homegrown veg this year. Anyone want to come and help with the shovelling
Just cooking some bacon as bacon butties are in order

Hope Pen Pin feels better today, and hugs to everyone who wants one xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever
