i was hoping to save as many vouchers as poss towards hol next year, but it looks like i will have to use them when the next cut off date for my vouchers is.

    regards

One possibility that you could try is change the vouchers up to the holiday one, then after a couple of weeks tell them that you no longer are able/wish to use those particular vouchers and could they be changed back into the points.

A previous poster said that they had done this- we were discussing how expensive the holidays with these vouchers , as they use book price with no discounts what so ever. They returned their vouchers and got the points back.

I am going to wait until Nov to see if the holiday prices have gone down at all and then if not we will ask to convert them back into points. Not sure if it will work at all, but certainly worth a try.

And of course word of warning to yourself with the holidays- do ask the prospective companies for prices of when and where you would be interested in going and see if it something you agree to.... I found the prices to be shocking in all honesty.

We went to Peterborough today to check out the car we are getting and it was fine. We are going back on Tuesday 7 October to pick it up.
A word of advice to those of you out there wanting to use deal tokens towards your cars. The salesman told us that when Motorpoint went into the scheme, they only anticipated people coming in with £200 or £300 towards a car, not the £1,000's some of us have. It is very possible that Motorpoint will be coming out of the scheme as soon as their contract ends.

I have just got back from Peterborough, having collected DS's new Corsa. It is lovely. It was so easy. We checked over the car, signed the paperwork, handed over the Clubcard vouchers, and drove the car away. The vouchers were checked in about a minute.

I spoke to the guy about Clubcard and he told me because Motorpoint had lost so much money, they are coming out of the scheme in December. I am not suggesting you take this as gospel, but if you are thinking about getting a car from the, call them yourselves and find out. Better to knock off what you can off the purchase price, than nothing at all.

Keep your fingers crossed for me.

Pure coincidence, but on Saturday I exchanged 4 years worth of points on-line for Motorpoint vouchers. I got confirmation.. so I hope it's honoured. I didn't know it was likely to end until I called Motorpoint this morning.

I really hope Tesco's honour my order.

I first mentioned this possibility on 27 September and then again on 3 October as this was the information given to me by the salesman at Peterborough.

According to someone over on PTS, existing vouchers can be used, but no more can be converted.

I send ink cartridges to Tescos that have been kindly donated to me from friends and family. I have just sent my 30th cartridge and the Tescos website says there is a 30 cartridge limit per annum. I am not sure when the per annum dates are? Is it January 1st 2008 to January 1st 2009. I sent the first cartridges early on in the year, around March. I will have a couple more soon (my printer needs the black changing and the blue is not looking good), I don't want to send them if they don't count. I will save them until they can add to my points again.

Edit: Just noticed they won't except the blue cartridge, so just the black. I still don't want to send it until I know when the 30 per annum limit resets. Can anyone help?
  • We will no long be able to get points at the automated recycle machines:mad:

    Copy of email below!l

Thank you for your email in regards to obtaining points through our recycling facility in Cirencester.

Unfortunately we have been faced with quite serious issues with some Recycling Units around the country and have been forced to implement measures to stop Clubcard points abuse and to improve Health & Safety issues.

    1. Customers will no longer be able to gain points for Recycling. The reason for this is customers are cutting up items into small pieces and feeding them all through separately to gain additional points.

    2. We will stop collecting Paper & Cardboard due to fire hazards caused by people setting fire to these units and causing potential dangers to other members of the public.

There will be a gradual change to the units as we remove the Clubcard, Paper & Cardboard facility, however, points can still be earned in the meantime at those Units that still have the Points facility. Unfortunately, our Cirencester branch no longer offer points at their facility.
Aim to win in 2013 - a holiday somewhere nice, New York break, treats for family & friends & some cash would be lovely!!!

The system is activated to check the last 365 days and if points have been awarded for 30 cartridges or more then the system automatically generates a donation to the designated charity.
