Sorry if this isn't the right forum to post this, but since I'm on a mission to collect tesco points, I was thinking about the Tesco Pay as you Go Mobile. It says it doubles the amount you place on as PAYG?

There's numerous deals - watch the small print though as not all top up amounts count and some offers are for texts instead of a set amount, also sometimes the extra amount credited free is lost if not used within a month. The double up applies to £15 top ups, but afaik it is not automatic - you have to text to a number. Most of the offers are based on regular monthly top-ups, but it does still work if you top-up say every 3 months ;). The other quirk is cheap half price texts to your favourite 5 numbers - you have to register the numbers for it to count.

I'm with a Vodafone PAYG at present so is it worth the swap? And if so, can I keep the number I have now?

No as it is a different company.

Sorry for the dumb questions - I'm a self confessed techno-phobe!!

Buy top-ups at tesco too as you get clubcard points there.

Watch out for the additional vouchers coming off with your till receipt/quarterly offers - there's often extra clubcard points to be gained there too for using their mobiles.

    Clubcard Account/s question...

If i open an account online -earn points(through home delivery)

& then after i get a temp clubcard, enter it as the clubcard to be used on said online(virtual account) -will i loose the points on the online account? Will they merge and the points be added together?

Not done this your way. If you get the temporary clubcard first before registering, it will ask you to enter your clubcard number (enter the temp number), when your actual clubcard arrives the points will be transferred.
  • Do you know you can buy tesco vouchers online and top up within minutes. You can also buy asda vouchers and the code will come through via sms and you top up from there. It means you don'y have to leave the house this can be achieved on topups247.com
  • Used the little clubcard key fob in store yesterday and noticed when I got home the points balance was significantly more than the previous days total. Upon further inspection, noticed the clubcard number was completely different to mine! Went into store today to ask customer service to check the fob bar code and it is scanning correctly. So, called the hotline and explained what had happened - they said it may be a technical glitch and that the points went onto someone else's account and was I sure I had the correct receipt

Has this happened to anyone else? Do you think the checkout !!!(istant) scanned another card & only pretended to scan mine or am I just being paranoid?

    1) As long as you're not on the Value tariff, then the double/triple credit is automatic. Top up £10 to get £20, £15 to get £45 and £20 to get £60.

    2) You can keep your phone number if you move to Tesco - simply ask your current provider for a PAC code and then give it to Tesco when you join.
  • Can goldsmiths vouchers be used as a deposit with the interest free payment option?
  • We have decided to save our clubcard points to convert into GOLDSMITHS dela to buy our wedding rings with.

Has anyone does this, as the site says:
The total cost of your purchases with Goldsmiths must come to over £200.

is this on 1 piece of jewellery or can the £200 be used against 2 or more pieces of jewellery.

So far we have £45 worth of points so that £190 in deals and we dont want to save more to use in goldsmiths than we have to.

You can use your points on two pieces of jewellery at Goldsmiths as long as the purchase exceeds £200. My wife bought two seats of earrings for my daughters-in-law at Christmas.

    Hi
I used £205 worth of Tesco vouchers to get myself £820 worth of Goldsmiths vouchers, I bought a watch for £850 :T, hey it was a TAG, but as long as you spend over £200 you could use for anything.

I am sure you would be able to use as a deposit too, but give them a ring there phone numbers are on the net

  • hmmm hoping somebody will know the answer to this one....is the 12 month limit on points for ink cartirdge recycling 12 months from when you recycled your last 30, or is it per 12 months as in Jan-Dec?

Also if you ring Tesco will they be able to tell you when you last had points for this added? (I hate ringing them so only do it if i absolutely must, i get nothing but unhelpful rude staff every time i call!)

Hi turtlemoose - new to this thread and just spotted ur question - I phoned last year & was told that its 30 ink carts per household per financial year ie. April-March. Hope I wasn't given duff info as I've wasted alot of carts if thats not right! Hopefully someone else can confirm this...

I read (on MSE pages) that it was 30 per year from when you send them in. ie: if you send 30 cartridges in September you can't send any more until the following September but I don't know if it's correct.

Also note - not all 'accepted' cartridges are accepted. I think they test them first. I sent in 30 but only got points for 25
