How often does the Tesco website update your points in your account.
The points we got last Saturday are still not showing online.

I use tesco to get my weekly grocery shop.
I dont buy any clothes etc there.
I thought about a clubcard to help reduce my grocery bill.

What are the pro's and con's of clubcards please

I had a clubcard once, and lost it
Can I apply for another (although I understand any points on old card will be nullified)

Also, how do I identfy genuine tesco emails from phishing ones?

    thank you

Companies use clubcards to really know about your shopping habits. That can be a con if you are conspiracy theorist, but also a pro because sometimes they send you vouchers like "earn 50 points when you spend £2 on cheese". Now, I always spend £2 on cheese and I believe that is why they send it to me.

    Pros:
    You get something for nothing
You can then either spend it in store (every 100 points give you £1)
Or exchange it for "deals" which can be UP TO 4times it's value

I for example exchange mine for Pizza Express vouchers - now some people say that you can get 2for1 for printing off offers so it is not 4times the value, but
A/ I don't know when do I go so usually don't print one in advance
B/they are not valid on Saturdays where the vouchers I get from clubcard are valid all days in a week
for £2.50 of Tesco vouchers I get £10 for Pizza Express

There are different restaurants, days out, Goldsmith vouchers, RAC cover and all sorts in these deals.

For restaurants - I think you just order restaurant vouchers and THEN you can decide which one to go to. The vouchers look the same for all restaurants.

So if you shop in Tesco anyway, it makes absolute sense to get one.

I would just apply for one and either they will tell you you already are registered and send you replacement, or just send you new one.

We have decided to save our clubcard points to convert into GOLDSMITHS dela to buy our wedding rings with.

Has anyone does this, as the site says:
The total cost of your purchases with Goldsmiths must come to over £200.

is this on 1 piece of jewellery or can the £200 be used against 2 or more pieces of jewellery.

So far we have £45 worth of points so that £190 in deals and we dont want to save more to use in goldsmiths than we have to.
:TIs thankful to those who have shared their :T
:T fortune with those less fortunate :T
:T than themselves - you know who you are!

  • Hi all,

We converted £5 of clubcard vouchers for £20 of days out vouchers. Unfortunately due to the the bad weather and kids illness we haven't used them and they are now expired (just yesterday). Not holding out much hope but would they convert them back? Just wondered if anyone had any experience of this. Thanks.

Last week I was told they give you 'about' a weeks grace for sending them back. Send with a cover note to the Crawley address on the Clubcard website. I was also told to use Special Delivery.
  • Sorry if this isn't the right forum to post this, but since I'm on a mission to collect tesco points, I was thinking about the Tesco Pay as you Go Mobile. It says it doubles the amount you place on as PAYG? I'm with a Vodafone PAYG at present so is it worth the swap? And if so, can I keep the number I have now?

Sorry for the dumb questions - I'm a self confessed techno-phobe!!
  • Clubcard Account/s question...

If i open an account online -earn points(through home delivery)

& then after i get a temp clubcard, enter it as the clubcard to be used on said online(virtual account) -will i loose the points on the online account? Will they merge and the points be added together?
