It would have surprised me even more not that long ago. When I thought Squeaky was a woman! Sorry, Squeaky! It's really tickled me since I joined though, that I somehow had a gender in my head when reading posts by people and frequently got it wrong. I wonder what stereotypes I was basing my assumptions on...

    Shame on me!

You can make them in a slow cooker, if you have one?

'The thing that most women dislike about parking nowadays is the noisy crash.' There wasn't a smiley with a gaping surprised mouth so just imagine it right here! :D;)
LOL There wasn't a smiley on the original either :)

Wow, the power of the net. I had porridge for breakfast, and am making lasagne for dinner! (With lentils.)

    Yum, yum!

This is a little off topic, and I'll probably bring it up another time, on another thread, but I've had some odd dizziness and stuff for a few days. As I've been on a diet, I thought maybe I wasn't eating enough and ate a bit more but that didn't shift it. Then I went for lunch with my dad yesterday and noticed it tasted quite salty to me as I seldom use it. Within a couple of hours I felt totally better and feel great today.

Since I don't buy processed food, and don't snack on Pringles etc anymore, I think I wasn't eating enough salt. Probably pretty uncommon, but I thought it was worth mentioning. We're all told to cut down our salt intake, but I guess it's not clever to over do it!

My warning for low salt is getting cramps in my legs at night. It's the same old story really - too much salt is bad for you - so is not enough. Moderation is the name of the game I reckon.

I now use a small amount when cooking, it is supposed to help release the flavours in food and be a generally good thing, and then I seem to go through phases where the finished meal needs a little extra salt on it - my body seems to "demand" it - though much of the time I never seem to want more and, I guess I must have it about right because I very rarely think that there's too much salt in a meal.

That's the way I did mine, yes. Since I make it up in layers while the bol and the sauce are both still hot I've found that four hours on low is usually time enough. Never tried one from cold, nor with noodles.

Snapping the lasagne sheets to go round circles is a pain though :)
