    Hi Chums,
just popped in to say my new car is a dream and so comfy.I feel like a million dollars in it .DGS Mikey, the main man in my life aged 4 wants to call it 'Bluebell' as its blue , makes sense to me, so Bluebell it will be.He was chuffed that he was the first grandchild to have a ride in it even though we only went for some petrol.

R/Therapy went well today only 10 more days to go.Yippee
Off to the school fair tomorrow I shall get some jigsaws as well for the children whilst I'm there, along with some books and some scrummy cakes .
Last year we raised almost £1600.00 which was good going as its only on for two hours. But everyone chips in as the children do get good use from the cash raised .
Its such a happy school and although the children have special-needs they are some of the most cheerful kids I have ever seen.Makes one feel so humble to see them.
My DD is the school manager there, and has to fight the LEA for every penny for the children.
Well my washing is nearly dry, so I think I will whip it in before it starts to rain.
I am just hoping that we get nice weather for them tomorrow as the children love having the fair in the grounds and we raise more cash when the sun shines.
managed to get a couple of lemon soles for dinner tonight ,they're not very big but with some new pots (£1.49.a lb I nearly died of shock) and some green beans thats me sorted .I have some fresh pineapple left from yesterday so thats pudding taken care of as well,
    have a great week-end everyone

(((Hugs))) to Haribo and the girls; you did the right thing and it was lovely for Parsley that she passed away at home having spent her last night with those who loved her.

Hi all, hope you are all well, sorry for not posting over the past few day - have been reading though :) Hugs to those that need them. :grouphug: Haribo, really sorry about your kittie. Triker - well done on the house, that's really cool  Pen-pen - I love the wizard of Oz. I have a tee-shirt that says "dear Auntie Em, hate you, hate kansas, took the dog" :D

I'm very tired, I've been supervising illegiable exam script transcriptions and it's a dull job (still, we really need the money, and it's easy work - just boring) Mind you, I've learnt a great deal about all sorts of random things. I really felt for the typist, she was so lovely and had spent seven hours in front of VDU by the end of the day. All I do is watch to make sure the Uni regs aren't broken. My boss is being nasty (now there is a suprise  ) and I'm fed up with it. I need him to sign a form to allow me to submit my thesis and I think he's going to use it to get more work from me first (*knows how Damacles felt now*). College are being very supportive, though which is great - and they would put the form in if he refuses or puts hurdles in the way (he's not supposed to use it for blackmail purposes). I told them some of the things that go on in the group and they were mortified. I think that's the problem in academia, the students have no rights and people get away with stuff that would get them fired in a proper job and everyone is too scared to blow the whistle.

Lamb for tea - did quite well in somerfield last night and got two whole legs whoopsied to £1.75 each, 4kg of potatoes for 50p and some broad beans for 20p. OH said I should have got four legs so we could build our own sheep.

I started a ginger beer plant last night - I got hold of some strong plastic bottles that should take a significant amount of pressure (I know they do - we filled them with dry ice a couple of weeks ago to test them and managed to liquify it, which is no mean feat - about 10 barr pressure :D ). I don't want a repeat of the explosions last time I did it as I was scraping sugar gunk off the ceiling for weeks. :)

So glad it is the weekend :) So glad :)

Haribo hugs to you and the girls, Parsley had such a peaceful end to a life well lived and loved but what a miss for you all

Jackie glad you like your car and that it got the seal of approval from dgs, the district here where i live is the only one in scotland to have special needs playgroups 0 - 5yrs and we have to depend on charity and fundraising for every penny we need from wages to providing free transport for the children but it is all worth it for the difference we can make

Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs Chrisca

    hugs to mrsmix and mioliere

managed a walk but it poured rain all the way so made hobnobs when i came home to give myself a treat

Harribo and family((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))))))))))) I am SO sorry for your loss. Have only skimmed the thread but will read later so please don't think I am ignoring you now. Just wanted to see if there wa sany news from dear Harribo.
Well we finally got news back regarding the test results. Phoebe has not got leukemia. Her blood count was nowhere near as bad as the vet thought they would be.It indicates a severe infection possibly. So we now dont know what is to happen. The vet said that there are no further tests she can think of and certainly none without refering to the specialist Liverpool animal hospital. Other than hardly eating she is happy and engaged so your guess is as good as mine. I know that things are still not good but at least some positive news. I am totally humbeled by the kindness and concern you have shown to Phoebe and to me and DH(who said to say a big thank you as well) Phoebe is on metacam but as you have to take with food it is a battle. She has also had the injectable antibiotic(the 14 day one) so it back to the vets on Tuesday and we will see. Again thank you for thinking about us. You all have worries and pressures of your own and to take the time to ask and to care about about an old(ish) little grey and white cat (sorry Phebes)and her rather chunky owner moves me more than I can say. Will post a little bit later. Thank you all so much and for now byee. Will see you later. Have a good evening. Ann xxxx

Annie could your vet not just write to the Liverpool Vet hosp, describe the symptoms and see what they say before you have the expense of going there or could you write yourself?

    big hugs to you x
