How would I find a cube bike on eBay? I looked up "cube bike" and got no results.0
-
Don't buy a full suss for less than a grand. It'll be garbage.
Stick to hardtails on your budget, much better. A cheap full susser will bob around as you pedal, it will be heavy, slow, and use parts which will break easily (and that you won't be able to replace).
I just rode the North Face trail at Grizedale on my hardtail, and that is bumpy as hell.0 -
A specialized Hardrock will be far better than the others you mentioned. You can save money on the one you posted by goign for the 2007 model with V-brakes instead of discs. It's my problem, it's my problem
If I feel the need to hide
And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die0 -
Right, so the Specialized hardtail is a good option.
Any other recomendations?0 -

it was only an example, you won't necessarily find them constantly, I just did some research using some of the mountain bike mags based ontehir reviews then had a daily ebay search for the models I was interested in. I just wanted something that had a reasonable reputation but was probably sub £400 as it was only a starter bike, if I got on OK with it then I'd look at more expensive stuff
http://www.cyclex.co.uk/product/cbaim08-cx.html is an example of a Cube, not many places sell them still over here
my list of ebay bikes from last year was carrera vulcan", "carrera subway", "dawes progeny", "decathlon rockrider", "giant escape", "gt aggressor", "mongoose tyax elite", "schwinn frontier", "specialized hardrock"
I just happened to find the Cube by accident being sold by one of the shops selling some of the above
Your other alternative is using the cycle to work scheme if you're employer is signed up to it0 -
Right, so the Specialized hardtail is a good option.

Hi,
You can improve the ride of the hardtail bike by replacing the saddle post with a shock absorbing one. I don't know how will this affect it. Others may have an opinion on doing this.Be nice, life is too short to be anything else.0 -

No, don't bother - they're useless.
