    I tried to. But Days Inn said my price was for exec room. But no exec rooms are acailable on any other website for 17 Oct.

    So I rang Days Res service. She offered me a room at £90 so I asked how much an executive room was. She said there werent any at that hotel.

    Seems a bit of a con to me:(

    Does anyone know if it is possible to benefit from this offer more than once? ie they don't put a stop on you claiming a second time?

    Chip - true, exec rooms do not appear on any of the websites mentioned in this thread, but you could always go for the "standard" room and price-match that way?

    Princess - have you booked 1 night or more than 1 night? I think the offer is only for 1 night and it maybe that they are price-matching the rest of your stay?

    No , you cant book a standard room via the Days Inn website, only Exec rooms, thats where the con lies I'm afraid. Standard rooms are only available via 3rd party websites.

    Thank you for your email. Our office never changes rates as we do not have the capability of doing so. The only way a property knows that a lower rate exists on another website is if we process the free night stay to the guest and notify the property of where we find the lower rate. At that time they are given the opportunity to fix the problem. The only thing I can tell you is that when Mr. Main had reviewed your claim the rate of £90 was available on https://www.daysinn.com. If there is a lower rate you are offered the lower rate.

    Can you please explain the previous instance where you reduced your rate from £96 to £90 in order to match a competitors website. The £90 rate was not available on your website at the time of booking which is obvious as the room was £96. At the time of booking there were no rooms available at £90, yet suddenly after my email to Days the room rate dropped.

    Please note all this correspondance is being forwarded to Trading Standards.

The standard rooms are smaller than the deluxe and only have a shower, there is no bathtub in these rooms. The property does have different rates for these room types.     You will see from the emails listed that on two occasions that I have tested the Days Inn best rate guarantee and there has been a reason to reject this claim. If you notice the first time I booked I was charged a rate of £96 which was the only rate available on your website. My charge was reduced to £90 after your rates were changed on your website and you did not honour your guarantee.

    The second time I booked I was told the room was not the same type. It is impossible for a standard room to be booked online and when I called the hotel I was told that all rooms were deluxe. Once again even though I found the same room cheaper you have not honoured your promise.

    I have kept printouts and records of every transaction and I am forwarding these to the UK Trading Standards who govern any misleading or false offers.
    I believe on both occasions Days Inns are breaking trading UK laws. I have posted this letter onto some consumer websites in the UK and have found others with similar experiences of your website suddenly changing prices and not honouring best rates.

    Days Inn still has the opportunity to honour the agreement so I look forward to your companies reply. I would suggest that if such promises cannot be made you remove the statement from your website.

    This seems very unusual as there is only one room type at the Days in Westminster. Although the room on the site I sent you says standard room, and the one on your site says deluxe, these are actually the same rooms. I have stayed in the Westminster hotel before and as far as I know (and after calling the hotel) they do not have standard rooms, all rooms are classed as deluxe.

    PRINT A SCREEN CAPTURE OF THE DAYS INN PRICES FOR ROOMS ON THE DAYS YOU BOOK!
    The price for the room i booked has been dropped on the days inn site to match exactly the cheaper price I was quoted elsewhere and of course I have no way of proving that it was higher a few days ago....well except for the fact that the site let me book it at a higher price! Anyway i am bored with Drew now so im going to let it drop, but i hope some more determined moneysavers manage to get them to honour their promise.

    Then why if i book for there Furthest dates away (Dec 2005)
    There not for sale?!?
