I had another review at work today. It went really well again and I had a £300 payrise. It's not a lot I know but I had a £500 one about 6 months ago and every little helps. I then told them I was pregnant and they seemed really pleased for me. I'm glad I got that out of the way now. It's nice to be able to talk about it.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0

I had a mega stress on last night. Became really concerned that I may be stuck in a one bedroom flat forever and with a baby on the way that just isn't good. I'm in negative equity and cannot afford to pay the loss at the moment.
Although I'm making great headway in paying off my debts, I'm gutted that I put myself in a position where I had to get an interest only mortgage. If I'd have been able to get a capital+interest I may have been able to create some equity to buff this downturn in the market. I don't want to make a profit, I just want to break even and by my 1st home with hubby and baby.

Just when I think things are going well something else comes along.
I think one of my pet rats has developed a tumour. It's pretty big. I'm going to take her to the vet tomorrow to see if they can remove it. There's no way I'm not paying for it to be done but I am worried about the cost.
I've only just started to be able to put a little money away every month and then something comes along and wipes it out. Grrr! Really don't want to lose my rattie though.

Well loads has happened since my last update!
With regards to my last post, I lost both my ratties to tumours! RIP Thelma & Louise.
On June 5th I gave birth to baby Tomos by emergency c-section, weighing 6lb 5oz.
I'm still making my debt repayments via CCCS but have to call them for a review as I am now on measly maternity pay and have sorted out my child benefit and tax credits. All in all I am basically earning exactly half of what I used to. My amazing OH has said thathe will basically pay for almost everything so I can continue to pay at least £100 a month to CCCS.
I haven't got an updated debt figure yet as Natwest refuse to send me statements and were still charging me interest last time I checked. Need to get everything straightened up but have had my hands full lately. Time to get back on track I think.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
Result! Iwent to the f.o.s about the overdraft I built up with A&L after going £5 overdrawn on holidays abroad. They've agreed to clear the balance of £315 and close the account!! Another result thanks to the financial ombudsman. Sainsburys Bank have agreead to wipe off my debt of approx £300. Their reasoning was that, although they wer within their rights to harge me £24 a month charges plus interest, becuase the payments I've made since starting the DMP in 2008 covered the original debt, they'll write it off as a gesture of goodwill. Woop Woop!! Result!

Thank you to the FOS again. Aqua were being a right pain in the bum. Stressing me out big time with calls and letter and loads of charges. Got them all refunded and a £75 cheque for the inconvienience.
Just updates my signature and it's so nice to see some progress.
Exactly 48 months left providing I can keep the charges and interest at bay which is great. Really can see the light at the end of the tunnel now.DMP Mutual Support Thread Member No 19017/05/08 - Total on DMP: £10025.7007/05/14 - Total on DMP: £1666.20 DFD: July 2017!!Baby Tomos born 5th June 2009 - 6lb 5oz :jWeight Loss Target - to lose 60.8lb by NYE 2015 - 37.6lb TO GO0 -
Quick update. Nearly hitting the half way mark on my debt management plan which is awesome. Had a terrible year as far as my personal life goes but it feels really good to be in control of my finances given the current circumstances. It's tight and some months are a bit of a juggling act but I'm still making my payments and can see the light at the end of the tunnel.
My debt is finally becoming a manageable amount and I have a debt free date which is finally within reach.
I can't wait until the day where I haven't got to spend £150 a month of my hard earned money on debt.

Ok. So have had a bit of a sort out today as I haven't done any filing since my boyfriend left me in October and I'm feeling a lot better for it. One of my debts was lower than CCCS had online but another one was about £100 more!! Why did I not notice this? I'm exhausted after spring cleaning today but am going to go through all my debts this week and write letters to anyone who is charging me and try get some of it back. Not too much of a set back so though. Predicted DFD is now June 2016. I'm sure it'll be sooner though as I'm going to start paying some of the smaller ones off soon.
I was going to start saving for a car but I think for the next few months or so I'm going to use that money towards the smaller debts.
Wish me luck. Hopefully before long you'll see a DFD of 2015 in my signature
