Morning all
Raining here today as well, I'm already soaked as it threw it down when I was out with the dog. I've got DGD today, and I hoped to walk into town to see whether I can find any lilac shoes and a bag to go with my wedding outfit for DS wedding. One lovely OSer offered to send me some, but she is obviously a dainty little thing, whilst I have feet like an elephant, but thanks for the offer, you know who you are :A
Well, I watched the Apprentice, and I really wanted Claire to win, but I'm sure someone will snap her up.
Lunch might be a shop-bought sandwich, and dinner is chicken curry.
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
:hello: Good Morning!
Just looking in to see how Phoebe was, (((hugs)))) annie
(((hugs))) also to PP, Smoky, Candygirl, Mrs Mix and dd, Aussies sis, jackieO and jayward
I am off to get my hair cut today, first time in 6 months and it is quite long now, been trimming the fringe myself so to say it needs doing is putting it mildly. it is getting too heavy (thick hair) to stayed pinned up now. After that I have to go to w**k:rolleyes:
Breakfast - oatabix (shared with puppy)
Lunch - tuna and salad sandwich (all mine!)
Dinner - Leftover cauliflower cheese and quorn sausages
I bought 2 huge cauliflowers for £1.50 at the car boot sale and still have another one to cook.
Very tired and drained this week but hoping having my hair done will give me the lift I need.
Have a good day everyone (where did the sun go?)
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

Off to work with a set off rejigged priorities today:mad: .Apparently it's a lot worse for a kid to write on the desk, than to tell me to go and fk myself. There's me thinking it was the other way round:rolleyes:   I just love my extra supportive and helpful boss:mad:
Anyway I need the money so i'll keep my trap shut, as apparently I am too strict!!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Just call me Miss Jean Brodie

AAAAAAARRGH water pipes
Woke up at 4.50am to a horrible noise, it took us a while to realise it was the pipes. The stop tap on the path at the end of our drive is leaking, there's water running down the drive and pooling in front of our door. Next door's front garden is flooded, I don't think she'll get out of her front door. Severn Trent said they'll send someone out at some point  today. I've turned the water off for now, just turning it on when I need it. When it's on, the noise gets right into the middle of your brain and it HURTS. lol
Been busy in the garden, everything's growing really well. We can even let the rabbit run around out there, she doesn't eat any of the veg cept for the swede leaves so we'll put a little makeshift fence around them.
We need to cut back even more. It's really frustrating, I've got designs and ideas pouring out of my brain for things to make and sell, but no money to buy supplies to start them off. Oh and work haven't paid me because the bank suddenly decided to take my boss's overdraft off him with no warning, so there's no money. I'm beginning to wonder if I should pack it all in, sell my cards off cheap and become just another faceless number on the payroll of a don't-really-give-a-damn-about-our-customers-or-staff organisation.

Good morning Chums, well it's not a very bright one this morning, its been cats & dogs since the early hours.Thats one thing you can depend on in this country the weather changes with the wind as my old mum used to say.
My big brother has gone back home to France with his boot and car stuffed with all sorts of things he can't get there ,like a decent pork pie, and umpteen bags of Tescos Tea bags as the tea out there isn't very nice.
I had my pal June visit me for the day yesterday, and I was lucky that I managed to have an early appointment at the hospital so was home again by 10.30.a.m.
We had a lovely Ham salad lunch followed by fresh pineapple and mango sorbet .I was absolutely stuffed last night so I just had a sandwich for supper.Only just over two weeks to go till my R/therapy finishes, and the I'm off to Norfolk for a weeks hols with my pal.
I'm really looking forward to it .Next week the new adult-ed directory comes out in our area so I will be able to sign on back at college again.Life is definitely starting to look a lot better than this time last year.Plus of course I shall be able to have my G&Ts back at the end of the month Yippee, all I need now is a nice spell of warm weather so I can sit in my garden. It's my eldest DDs school Fete this saturday so I shall go along and support it as she works in a special-needs school and they need lots of extra funds for the children .
I know that prices are rising, as I had to go to my local cobblers shop to buy a new rubber ferrule for my walking stick. They only last about two years, and the last one I bought cost 15p in 2006, so off I went and nealy fell over when it cost me £1.25 for a small piece of rubber to stick on the end of my walking stick .Ho hum I think I may grow a rubber tree
Hope everyone is o.k. ,my appointments for my r/thrapy have been all over the place this week, still only 12 more days to go then hopefully all will be finished at the hospital ,apart from check-ups .Life just keeps getting better at the moment .I have been 'shopping' from my cupboard and freezer and still seem to have loads left.Still I shall take some staple stuff with me when we go to Norfolk.I will be staying at a place called Colkirk and I'm just off now to see what events might be on whilst we're there
<<<Hugs to those in need >>> and a bigto the rest of you
cheers JackieO xx0 -
