Morning, all! Happy Wednesday

I absolutely LOVE the idea of those flannel handbag soaps which Mary43 mentioned upthread, so have done a quick google and found this :

Not exactly a clear picture, but the instructions seem quite straightforward so I may give it a go this weekend

The bags are lovely rusty i might have to steal the idea ,good as well because the recipient cant see inside and no extra wrapping needed

Not too sure if this has been added already, but samphire is a sort of seaweed plant that grows by the water's edge in salty areas. I bought some from a farmers market last weekend when visiting famil in Norfolk. Not too sure what it would be like pickled? To cook, I was told to rinse it lots, boil for a couple of minutes and serve with butter - then apparently you hold the root end and strip the flesh upwards away from the root with your teeth, so it leaves a the tough core. Messy but tasty, very high in salt though because of where it grows.
I would love to know of places near to me that I could harvest it for free - but if you live near esturies in Norfolk I would imagine you could harvest it for free, so would make very cheap prezzies!0
