the pillow is lovely rainmac, well done! thanks for the link too.

melissa75 - I agree, it shows thought has been put into it. I am making koala shaped chocolate lollies for the children too, I went to australia for a month in november so I thought it was appropriate for me to give them

In my quest to have the ideal home-made/recycled Christmas I decided to paint my Dad a picture. To give you an idea of my artwork, when I was at school I was the only person in my whole year who the head of the art department asked not to be even given the option of taking Art GCSE:rotfl: (not that I would have taken it anyway). Seriously, even stick men are difficult!:D

Anyway, here is the photo I worked from, so you can see what it's "supposed" to look like! It's my Dad's, now sadly dis-mantled, beloved 7 1/4" gauge engine which he named after my Mum.

And here is my "interperation" of it...............

Will I have the nerve to give it to him?? I doubt it!:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Lillibet, brilliant picture! Please give it to your dad, he'll love it, I know I do:D

If I could paint like you I'd be painting all my Xmas presents ;)

A teacher once said on a school report that I had no imagination and needed to be more dynamic. Honestly, what do teachers know  :rotfl:

I really wish I had a poundland near me but I don't!
I was only saying to the other half that I wanted a cocktail shaker as well! Typical!!

As for my christmas crafts well the sock monkey now has one ear sewn on but to be honest I think it would be cruel to give it to someone. I don't know how it happened but the mouth is wonky! :rotfl: I'm going to finish it and see how it looks though.
Was thinking of going into town at the weekend with my boyfriend and pick up some bits from the craft shops before we move. I've decided to make up some boxes of cards for my mum and nan and his mum and gran. But I'm running out of supplies and need to pick up more!!

rainmac - you are clever............love the cushion, just wish I had the patience to have a go.

I know, I know, I'm so boring posting lots of the same thing but I'm really pleased with these :D . They are to add to pamper hampers for 3 of my friends that are going to contain: homemade bath salts, flannel cupcake; candles & holders; face mask and a door hanger. There is a little pocket on the back with a ticket that says "Mum Would Like 5 Minutes Peace" on one side and "Do Not Disturb" on the reverse :rotfl: . Hopefully their partners and children will take the hint and let the mums shut themselves in the bathroom for a relaxing time! Hope you like them...
