Hi just to feed back on our xmas fayre. We had a table with flannel cakes, slipper socks in muffin cases, reindeer flannel, reindeer oats, flannel logs, and snowman soup. The best seller was the snowman soup.:T :D Sadly the flannel cakes were not the hit I expected:confused: . We did okish made enough to cover costs and pay for all the stock we have left. The Fayre wasn't as well attended as expected. So we broke even. Now need to sell the rest:eek: Mariae.

Well done on making so many items to sell :T I can't believe you didn't completely sell out, if the fayre had been well attended you definitely would have ;) Are you doing any more fayres? Could you sell any of your leftover gifts on ebay?

  • Hi everyone, sorry I haven't posted on here for ages!!!
I'll try and catch up on everything I've missed later. Anyway here's my progress so far:
    DONE:
Mum's scrapbook, I've done 5 pages, I thought I'd do her more for mother's day, birthday etc.
    Mum's door hanger, decorated notebook.
Shadow box for Mum and Nan.
I've decorated 1 shoebox for cards, well its sort of finished!
    Mini scrapbook album for neice

    TO DO:
Decorate another shoebox, make loads of cards, mini scrapbook for 2 neices, decorate keepsake box for Mum. Maybe shadow box for sister or OH's Nans.

As you can see I have been useless and still have got loads to do - aaahhhh! There's so many lovely ideas on here for things, but I don't think I'll have time to do them, plus I don't think some of my relatives would appreciate them - gits!
  • Mariae - congratulations on your fair, I would love to do something like that. Could you sell some stuff door to door, If I did that round my area, I'd get mugged though!!!
  • Rainmac - lovely picture, before I read your comments, I thought you'd found another matching frame rather than do it yourself. You are brave painting it, I can read what it says, does your OH need glasses?????
  • Angie - great xmas cards, I have been really lazy and have hardly made any.
Pinkladymel - I really hate you! But in a good way. When I make something I am normally pleased ish with it, then I see your stuff and mine looks like it was made by a chimp.

    Hello everyone

I have finished knitting my first "big" thing for over 15 years. I was given some aran wool and decided to make my eldest daughter a cable knit cardigan. It looks lovely but has come up too small for her but luckily will fit my younger daughter so she can have it instead. Think because I was frightened of leaving holes down the side of the cable I was pulling the tension too tight.

I have some chunky wool so was hoping to make a cropped cardigan out of it. I tried to win a pattern on ebay but lost out. I have the picture if it though so might try to make up the pattern myself as I go along. Will wait and see how I get on at the hospital first this afternoon, keep expecting them to say I need another op on my arm which will put a stop to the knitting again for a while.

Have been given some of that fabric you use for tapestry too, not sure what to do with it yet.

Ha ha that made me laugh, I am sure they are no where near as bad as you think.
