I've only done one pot of gold (well gravy granule pot covered with piccys of gold coins) and I'm going to pop a few pound coins in with the choccy ones. It's for my son so the few quid will be handy.

I'm putting a lottery ticket in my 'safe keeping; jars.............grandkids will be 16 at Christmas so if they win, they can claim and spare a thought for their nan -hopefully..................lol

Now have one reindeer complete !!!:T Did it with a beige flannel, mixture of brown and beige pipe cleaners, tied a creamy gold ribbon round the neck and used a glass bead for his nose............just the job for grandaughter I think.
3 more to go...........all done except three want noses, one wants eyes as well as a nose and I need some ribbon. What I've got is too wide to do a bow - useless at bows anyway but the thinner the ribbon the easier for me.

I'm creative -you can't expect me to be neat too !

  • mary43 I went out on my travels this afternoon mainly to pay bills ( the joy!). I want on a diary hunt pound shop okay, asda none in site, new look okay , next too expensive. the best ones were Marks and Spencer for the choice and the £3.00 ones are 3 for 2 which would make them £2.00 each for three and they look lovely.

The reindeer sounds gorgeous too !

Re Asda I went there to look for popcorn bags and cinema clapper what section are they susposed to be in ?

Finally boots were selling off that balm balm multi purpose cream great stocking filler for 75p.

thanks mary about the pound coin idea didnt think of that and its prob the obvious one lol just need to think of one more thing i managed to get gold scartch cards :D so its a start :D
  • well i have ordered my sequins and polystyrene balls from ebay as the price for 10 on ebay was price of 4 in town. so i can start my tree baubles in a few days.

i went to the sweet stall on market and bought a bag of gold sweets (quality street, caramel cups, toffee's, fruit chews in gold paper etc) so there is a variety in the bowls. just need scratch cards and then i can wrap them.

i also bought a different patteren of socks to make other son a sock monkey (something to do tonight whilst watching most haunted!)

making hubby and sis a car care kit, need to find 2 clear drawstring type bags. they have bottle de-icer, air freshner, shammy leather, de-mister sponge thing, want to get them walet size ice scrapers as well. has anyone got any other ideas as to what i could put in them?

not alot else i can do really. i love the journal bits but have no-1 that would appreciate them (mum would have loved the idea if she was still here). and i did consider making a box of cards for my nan but my cards look like something a 5yr old has done so that option is out.

    hows everyone else doing????
due to spilling coffee :coffee: on my keyboard it works when it wants to :rotfl:
