Wilkos had some nice plain mugs for 25p each in lemon, pale pink, pale blue, green and a few other colours.

I think they have a bar of soap with aloe vera for 19p each, could be good for the reindeers.

Oh lor........I've know idea how big my bars of soap are - got them in a pack from a fete in aid of the blind. I did try doing one head with two bars of soap but that didn't look right at all - back to one bar and I think that'll do it.
Just need to re-dye my pipe cleaners in strong coffee - again ! I went wrong with them by leaving them to drain on kitchen roll paper - the paper soaked up a lot of the colour.............lol So, back to the drawing board...........lol

  • I'v got the final go ahead and bugdet for the main work christmas party! I'm so excited!!! I'm going to try to do lots of ideas from here! I will try to post some pics of what I did last year, I was quite pleased with my decorations, One guy at work (now a housemate aswell) always annoys me by saying not to bother doing anything to decorate as noone cares, he thinks that everyone just want all the money to go behind the bar. I don't think that is quite true but I do worry. But then I love making everything so not going to stop until my boss stops me!

rainmac - thanks thats very kind of you -that'll save me a lot of bother...........:j

98jdough - hang them on the line ? No fear - what would my neighbours say......................lol I could just lay them on a plate or a wire cooling rack -that'd do the trick I'd have thought.

plate is maybe better than wire rack- you could end up with stripy pipecleaners hehe
  • Do you have one of those tall spacer racks that you put in the microwave? You could hang them off that.
Officially a non-smoker but still rounder than recommended :p
  • Have so far bought my flannels re reindeer, eyes, ribbon but no pom pom noses or pipecleaners though its not by want of trying, i might have to ebay them as my hobbycraft is too far.

Re Ikea stuff i bought alot of ribbon and some gingerbread i keep thinking I wonder if that person is a moneysaving expert:rotfl:

Those crayons look fantastic Rainmac what a clever idea. where do you buy those little wooden scoop things please i wanted to add one to a kilner jar I bought at Dunelm.

I also saw on a website with a little wooden mini crate with sections to do retro hamper. Might be a good idea if I can source one.

I was also naughty a bought myself a Christmas mag very early. It had an advert for a comapny selling a cocktail in a box how easy would that be to make. Nice martini shape glass , mini bottles, recipe and maybe a swizzle stick.

Hobby craft deliver and postage is reasonable. They don't have the pom poms . pipe cleaners in packs of 25.
Tesco were selling bumper packs of mixed pompoms £1 bogof. I managed to get 29 suitable sized red pom poms ( between the two bags) Mariae.
