I am knitting the doll on the cover of this book for both of my grandaughters for christmas. As both are babies I am doing the knitted skirt that is inside. One dolly in colours on cover and the other with a brown wrapover top with an aqua skirt.

I have just posted this deal I found on the card making thread, but I thought some of you might be interested too:

"I've just found a bargain, well I think I have. I found this site www.art-of-craft.co.uk and I found this: http://www.art-of-craft.co.uk/acatal...pany_Sale.html
Its a k & co storage cabinet " Keep all your crafting needs in one place with this storage cabinet from K & Company. The perfect present for the avid crafter, this box is packed full of everything they could want - 43 cards with envelopes, three pocket cards, 14 sticker sheets, 24 pattern paper sheets, three folded vellum inserts, six printed vellum quotes, 24 mini brads, four buckles, three small metal charms, three ribbons, template with 27 shapes, idea booklet, two transfer sheets, six dividers with tab stickers, two postalettes and four diecut sheets. Comes complete with cabinet "

It costs £10, I've looked at loads of other places, some were selling it for £45, Artymiss had it for £25 but it was out of stock.
They had a few other items in the sale. Another K & co item that I found was a paper pad to make gorgeous paper flowers, everything is included. It costs £4.40, I have seen it elsewhere for £10 - £12.

Another great thing - its free postage until 30 June!! So pleased as I am now addicted to K & co, (I thought you might be tempted Rainmac). The only problem is I forgot to get it delivered to my Mums, so the OH is going to moan about me ordering more stuff - whoops!

Sethsgran, that doll is beautiful! I tried knitting a couple of years ago and I was useless, I found it hard to keep my tension the same so my knitted squares were not very square! :rotfl: At the time I was pregnant with DS2 and I wanted to knit him a blanket, only managed 3 squares and gave up! :rotfl: Have kept the squares in his baby keepsake box so DS2 can have a laugh when he's older! :D

I am making one for each of my 4 grandchildren for christmas. The boys are in chocolate brown and lime green and the girls in bright pink and purple.
I also plan to make this for the boys.... http://www.fibertrends.com/viewer/patterns/228.htm

Along with making some knitted donuts and cupcakes with a rattle sewn securely inside.
My one of my DIL I am making the Bravo Bag she studied textiles at uni and loves handmade gifts...

For my soon to be grandaughter I am knitting this blanket but I am using raspberry fuscia lilacs pinks etc. Not started yet but I have all the yarn ready, need 12 shades I think. last time i did one it only took a week to knit so hopefully. As the colour changes so much I kept going until it changed and then the next change etc. There are no more than 6 rows in a colour at one time so it changes often. Free pattern as is Sheldon..
