I am knitting the doll on the cover of this book for both of my grandaughters for christmas. As both are babies I am doing the knitted skirt that is inside. One dolly in colours on cover and the other with a brown wrapover top with an aqua skirt.

can I ask where the craft warehouse is, please?

    It's in Rushden, Northants...

I've only ever been on demonstration days and they give 20% discount on all full-priced items purchased on the day. The prices are really reasonable anyway but with 20% off it's fab! They also do free tea/coffee and homemade cakes on demonstration days so you can rest your weary brain after looking at all the lovely stuff :D

    HTH :D

Rainmac the cards and boxes are great,

Just a thought how about including one of those little birthday books where you write everyones birthday in or do a sheet(glued in the lid maybe) the recipient can write on ?

What a fab idea Shaz, need to have a think about that...:D

I hope mine turn out as good. I am going to have a look though my Lets make cards mags and use up any bits I have spare. Will also see what is in next month's:D
I spotted the card with the fork on it:rotfl:

You got me with the fork!!! :rotfl: I love the little cutlery, had to get it in somewhere! :D I did make several cards using the contents of Lets Make Cards but the cards that came with the mag are too big for my boxes so I'm keeping those for me to use or maybe make another box of cards for a gift...

I have bought some wooden letters to spell 'CARDS' that I was going to use on top of a box. Maybe I could make a box to keep my cards in for me? I never make myself anything...

Rainmac they are beautiful. A craft warehouse sounds like heaven to me. DD2 is visiting DD1 in America for the summer. I keep emailing them with lists of stuff I want her to bring home. DD1 loves craft and knows my taste so between them they keep picking up bargains for me. Apparently they have sent a parcel today so I can't wait. They got me some embroidery silks for my stitchery and they only cost 25c each!!
No I don't knit to sell I just make as gifts for grandchildren daughters etc. last christmas I knit Fiber Trends felted clogs for my son and his wife. He loves clothes and always looks great at first he laughed at them and then tried them on he loves them so quick to knit. I love felted knitting.

http://images.google.co.uk/images?hl=en&resnum=0&q=fiber%20trends%20clogs&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wi I also do some beadwork but not much at the moment as I have a toddler grandson and mummy living here not a good combination him and beads!!

I've got friends in America and I have been known to ask nicely if they'll get me the odd thing or two or three! ;) I love lots of the American cross stitch companies like Lizzie Kate, Trilogy, Bent Creek, Heart in Hand... The charts are so exensive in the UK compared to US prices. I do buy the odd thing from US ebay sellers, even with p&p, charts are usually cheaper.
