Here is some snowman soup I put together today....

I used enough instant hot chocolate, choc chips and marshmallows for 2 servings. The candy canes are stuck on the outside of the cello bag with tape. Think they look quite good, what do you think?

I love these but how and where will you store them to make sure they stay fresh till Christmas, the tie isn't an airtight enough seal surely?

rainmac mmmm! your snowman soup looks good. I've just put the kettle on cos now I'm craving hot choc:rotfl: Won't be as nice as yours though, only cadbury highlights, no mellows or choc drops (insert crying smiley here)

am making a lot of things for christmas presents for people, esp the women in the family.... they're all going to be wrapped and popped into one of these:
    2923147228_62f3664195.jpg

its the first one i made, they're not lined, but the seams are french seams (in other words the fraying bits are all tucked away, not exposed) so its much stronger. This particular one is for me, as i said, its the first one i made to see how easy they are to run up. Full instructions are to be found here. Future ones will have stitchery (bit like this) on the pockets to make them individual to the person receiving the gift. If you're doing similar small presents, but tired of baskets and feel confident doing something like this, how about this instead?

I was in the works today and they have started to get their Christmas stuff in. Got a nice pack of Christmas stickers, 7 sheets for 99p, also something called a Christmas Bumper Activity pack for 99p - this is great and contains loads of different sized coloured card, stickers, sticky orange hologram paper, silver cardboard, great for card or tag making. They also had Christmas card making packs which I think were £1.99 for 10 and in the craft bit of the shop I got foil snowflakes for 69p a pack!
  • I think this site is great as not only does it have free knitting patterns but it also has knitting instructions - knitting stitches and tips & tricks. Check out the patterns under the Christmas section for knitting tree decorations.

They make lovely tree decorations when backed and stuffed with wadding or lavender.
