    Hi all!

Had to share some piccies with you! I made this little critter yesterday. He was going to be a gift but I think I'm going to keep him now hehe! The kit only cost about £3.50 from Dunelm! Although I don't think my real guinea pig likes the competition!! :D

  • I have to admit I left him sat on the sofa and when I came back in I thought he was real. I couldn't believe how easy he was to make! I'm not the best at sewing but after going through the instructions a couple of times it was really easy. All the material was ready cut so it was a case of putting them together and sewing up the seams.
And to stuff it I used the left over bits of wool that I had pulled out of the blankets that I'm using for no sew blankets! How MSE (and really cuddly) is that!

Our Tesco was a bit of a let down .........not big enough branch for all the stuff I was after but did get couple of notebooks to decorate for teenage grandchildren.

Age Concern shop I got some more tights (unworn I have to add) so I can do yet more pickled bums............ (that'll drive me completely senseless !!)
and the Red Cross shop had a couple of pairs of baby socks in camouflage pattern, good condition, one blue one green so I'm going to stuff them with lavender out of the garden, pop a ribbon round each pair and give one to grandson for his sock drawer and one to my son -no more smelly feet...................lol:rotfl:

Woolworths a bit of a let down as well but picked up two pairs of white socks with red check tops that I'm hoping to turn into sock snowmen.........(I said hoping....................lol)

As promised I am going to bore you all now with some pics of stuff that I altered a few weeks ago.

Melissa thanks so much for those photos of the notepads and other goodies you covered - they look really beautiful. You inspired me to get some cheap notepads from Asda - I think they must be the same as yours except smaller. I have just attempted covering one and I can still see some writing showing through on the other side. What did you do - did you cover both sides? I don't want everyone seeing Smartprice showing through!

    Thanks for your help
  • The guinea pig is brilliant! It's so life-like, I was another person fooled!
