Erm: this is based on the RICS and surveyors view of the state of the housing market.
The very same chaps who are under investigation by the SFO for overvalueing shedloads of pickles's and others : BTL's and newbuilds...
When the margin calls start to flow - expect the writs to fly.
I wouldn't trust a surveyor if he/she came in wet, holding an umbrella and told me it was raining.0 -

Slipthru as you posted in an appropriate manner i will answer your post.
I don't believe anything and to be totally honest i don't really care, i originally came here to find out the cheapest electricity supplier around 3 years ago, even before i joined i think. I get really wound up by the constant threads from people like !!!!!!,carolt etc (sorry if i have to keep dropping names) who try and force sentiment, i am all for a balanced view, if prices drop i acknowledge this and if that is the market so be it but in my opinion we are not going to see the falls being wildly predicted here, that's all, no motives, no VI, i just want it to be fair..:A
Great post broderick.
I couldn't care less what prices do, infact falls will benfit me when I trade up in a few years (the other half is putting on the pressure to start a family).
But it is the likes of !!!!!!? etc.. who start thread after thread telling us what is going to happen over the next decade. How the f**k do they know what's gonna happen and they should just be ignored by the genuine people seeking advice.0 -

No. You're Mr. Broderick's self-created thanker, just like BTLnewbie is Pickles110564's, therefore both FOS.
Rob
Not true Rob, in fact i have no self created thankers contrary to popular belief. People seem to find it hard to comprehend that there are people out there who agree with what i say

Im here for a laugh...
That's fair enough.
It seems like you are not the only one in here.
Most people in the forum know what is happening and where the market is going.
You don't need to be a genius.
Even the government think we are heading for a 10% correction.
A few people still argue that prices are going to go up again very soon despite the evidence of price fall.
I think mr.broderick is the prime example of someone who like to argue for arguments sake.
I guess it makes the forum a lot more interesting though.More bearish than bullish at the moment0 -
