if i get tied into another contract then i will just cancel my sky subscription and get it under someone elses name in the house - that way at least i get a new minidish for free that will then be covered for 12 months again plus get 3 months packages half price0

Im really proud to say I finally had some sucess with SKY.
A little story.................
I have sky and wanted sky+, i tried everything to get it for the £99 without this multi room stuff(an extra £10 a month)
I tried everything saying id cancel, the lot, no joy.
I recently recieved a bill from them, billing me for 5 films id watched in 2001... no way. so i called and complained and got put straight through to cancellations. i threatened to cancel and they wiped the bill and even wiped some of the films id watched in 2005. I then pressed for sky+ and after a bit of pressure got it for £99 without multiroom.
But thats not all folks........ they didnt have the standard box in stock so i got the super duper one with loads of recording time.
anyways time went by and i recieved the bill for the movies anyway. long story short.... at the end of that conversation i now have free sky till xmas, fee movies and free sports. oh, and they've reimbursed me for the cost of the calls!!!
Wooooo Hooooo0 -
?
I'm slightly puzzled, I can only see three months HALF PRICE subscription?0 -
ok heres a question to ponder on. I have just taken the sky plus box for the £49 - however i can cancel my subscription within a month of receiving the box - does that mean i get to keep the box that i paid for? I was wondering cos they wouldn't let me buy two boxes at £49 so if I can cancel and keep the box then I can cancel sky altogether and get someone else in the house to sign up and let them get the other sky plus box i want for the £49. So i can have sky plus in two rooms using multiroom0

Having been on half price package for some months and now eldest son contributing to household budget appropriately, I felt justified in getting Sky+ with son paying for the multiroom for his room (he's 21).
Have phoned several times this evening and got anywhere from 97 to 148 mins wait time! I've tried both the freephone and 0870 number (without waiting of course).
Popular or what? Will they run out?Do not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0 -
try the sky plus number (duifferent from the one on the website Sky plus number:
08702 43 24 91
it just rings till it answers so you don't pay for the waiting time - I got through in under 10 mins about half an hour ago0 -

What's the minimum subscription payment we'd need to make if we signed up for this £49 Sky + offer? (trying to keep monthly outgoings down!)...I'm really missing E4! We can't get Freeview yet where we live. But Sky+ would be super handy!
Or would they even let me sign up for it?
Hope someone knows the answer. Sorry to be thick!

I tried Freesat from sky but when the kids missed sky 1 and E4 we decided like you to get sky back.
Tried the option of new customer but they already had my details and although they signed me up again they then changed their minds and didn't contact me regarding this for 10 days. Mean time I was waiting like a lemon for sky to come back on!
Not a happy bunny. :mad:0 -
Answered immediately and I did have to hang on but only for about 6 mins. I didn't get the "your call will be answered .... etc".
Went through the process but after credit card details he told me it would be £99. I complained and he said £49 offer only available on internet! Confusing as I said you couldn't actually order via the net. He didn't know that and complained that he would have to go back two screens and enter the damn number in again!! Aaahhhh!
Eventually sorted, with delivery on Tuesday.
Thanks everyone. :jDo not allow the risk of failure to stop you trying!0
