they do have the technology as the thing they install comes with enough leads off it (4 I think) and you need two connections per sky plus box. Going to phone in a few minutes and see if I can get Sky plus as a multiroom as I already have it in the living room and a normal sky box in another room. so we'll see what they say

Yes you will need to pay the £10 a month for multi room.

and you may as well take out the multiroom if you have 2 or more premium chanels otherwise you haev to pay £10 a month for the sky plus box anyway if you don't have 2 or more premium channels. Whereas if you have these premium channels and you take multiroom you don't pay £10 a month for Sky plus. I know I could have put this better but hope you get the gist

Anyone know a non-0870 number to ring? I've tried the 01383 number listed at saynoto0870 and they say they can't put me through to domestic sales

on the website it says the offer only applies if you dial that number - the number on the website

That's because they want everyone to ring an 0870 number as it makes them money, so it's not surprising that they say that. In the past I have been put through to their sales department from the 01383 number, though, so maybe the operator today was a bit more argumentative than the others...
