Oh go on Shez, have a look, you know you want to! They're sooooo cheap...
Mine still have not arrived, and I'm rather hoping they don't come until tomorrow - I've got one of those "finely oiled machine" evenings planned, which will be messed up if I have to factor in getting a large box home from work! At the moment it's: 17:15 leave the office, 17:30 nip round Tesco for odds and ends, 18:00 visit Freecycler to collect spice rack, 18:30 arrive home on the bus to dump spice rack and Tesco bag, 18:45 leave the house again to go to a concert. If I get my Christy's delivery this afternoon too, I'd need to sprout an additional pair of hands...
Ooooh good news on another front :j :j :j I got an email this morning from Transport for London about a cycling training scheme some boroughs offer. I sent an email to the representative for Southwark and have had a message back telling me I qualify for a free 2 hour one-to-one cycling lesson! :j :j If there's one thing that'll persuade me to get my bike out of the cupboard and give me the confidence to cycle on the roads, it's this!
Off to post a link on the Freebies forum if nobody's done it already.

Afternoon All
Been for DH's BT results, and his choloestral (sp) is still a little high, and for someone who does not eat/like fatty food the diet route is not going to be an option. They don't want to give him tablets yet as no HBP or raised sugar levels, suggested a big more exercise, which will help both of us. Another BT in October. So good news all round.
Just watched Nadal giving a demonstration of how to play tennis, boy wish I was that fit!
(((Pen-Pin))) - hope the treatment/stay in Hosp is going OK.
Well after a glorious day so far - just having a thunderstorm:eek: had to run and get my dry washing in (I'd forgot it):rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Mince is in the SC so looks like cottage pie for tea, Can't wait to see who wins The Apprentice, I reckon that Lee might just get it, though Claire could be in with a chance, unless she decides she does not want to change her nature. Alex I think will get a job offered by AS, but maybe not the actual Apprentice.
Well that's my take on it.

Afternoon All
Aussie - not sure if you are still around today but Tai Chi is lovely, very sedate but its great for stress and my back and shoulders feel much looser than they ever did. I have to say that you do look a bit of a nutter when you are doing it, but it is worth it.
Had a good Tai Chi session but havnt done much else so am going to try and make up for it now. Have got an hour before I cook dinner so think the first thing I will do is try and finish the ironing.
Chicken and chips for dinner, nice and simple.

On the DD front, argggghhhh!!!!! The brat has gotten her revenge in style. She's been coughing and has had a sore throat for a few days, guess who has it now?????
Donny Gal, thanks for the advice. I'm just about at the end of my tether and so is DH, it's so bad if she asks to move back with her mother I'll pack for her and she's only 10!!!!
Cloudy here now and we've had some spatters of rain, yeuch!
See you all later

Hi there
Not kept up with the thread at all today. My arthritis has flared up (due I think to having the boys at the weekend) and my wrist joints have been really sore. Couldn't type at work and had to come home early as I also felt nauseous - probably the medication kicking in.
I am supposed to be going to my neighbour's for a meal tonight but have cancelled as I don't feel up to it and it would involve having a couple of drinks.
One wonderful thing today. Our mortgage expired on Monday (35 years!) and I came home to find the deeds in the post. A momentous occasion! Only thing is that it appears that in Scotland we have to verify through our Solicitor to finally complete. I know we have money from an endowment to come through so this probably won't happen until we do this. Time to update the wills too methinks.
Hope you are all OK and love and hugs to those having good times and not so good times. Thanks to those who have pm'd me - has meant a lot.

Sorry Shez
I am the one who mentioned the towels but it was such a good bargain I wanted to let OSers know before everything got snapped up.
DDs enjoyed the marinated chicken and new potatoes and will need to defrost some mince for tomorrow for spag bol as DD has a friend to stay.
Looking forward to "The Apprentice " tonight."This site is addictive!"

goodness martyn but you're a fast mover - good luck with the homecoming
BargainRzl - gonna check out that cycling thing myself - I do cycle comute but in a wimpy going through the backways way. I would love to have the confidence to ride in the city ..... and to turn right
dd is back from her trip - it was "allright" and she did "oh you know - stuff" so that was £177 well spent - she is busy catching up with eastenders and hollyoaks so my footie fests are over
I was going to take a half day to pick her and her mate up but got a text from her mate's mum to say that her mother was flying in on her broomstick and would pick both girls up - brilliant - saved me a few hours of flexi
dd(23) was ... well 23 yesterday - not really celebrating till Saturday but have just shelled out for halvies on ghd's (crikey o'riley those things are expensive) - exoh is putting his half into my account as we speak hopefully. Have missed a recorded delivery too - must be dsis's half of dd's air fare - woohoo
hugs all round
have a good eveningI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080
