Am off to Devon on Friday for a week with work so am making a list of what to take - hope its nice weather like this week!
Am doing one of my cleaning jobs this morning then the papaer round then slimming world tonight followed by my MrT delivery so its a busy one here!
Hope you al have a lovely day and (((hugs))) to those feeling poorly or low xDo what you love :happyhear0 -
Morning all
Looks like a nice sunny start today although I think its meant to rain later, so WM is on.
Waiting for a delivery from Argos today (between 7am - 6pm) so wont be going far from the front door today!
Have finally decided to ring the Dr's again concerning my back, I have been to physio and have been doing the exercises but the pain in my lower back just will not go, the co-codamol just seem to make me sleepy which is ok at night but it doesnt get rid of the pain. I just feel useless because I cant do any lifting and sometimes when I walk I get a shooting pain up my back.
Moiliere - My OH strips off in the kitchen/back door, but we have a passageway that runs down side of our place and divides to the other 6 houses in the terrace...so he's in full view of anyone walking past.
Anniestar - Didnt get chance to post last night but hope Phoebe will be ok.
tea tonight will be something with the lamb from sunday.....
Anyway off to phone Dr's then must get dressed before I have to answer the door to anyone.....
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: to all in need.

Morning Everyone
Up early again, showered, one load of washing on and just going to stroll to the supermarket as we are out of milk. Wondering whether to go on the UHT route like we do at home, as never seem to work out when we are running out. Maybe it's when DH makes the coffee and doesn't say the milk is low? Need to get another load on shortly.
AB - was going to ask how it was going with DSD. Looks like not good, battle of wills by the look of it, for a few of you too, stay calm all of you, it frustrates the h*ll out of them when they cannot wind you up.
(((hugs))) for DD Mrs_M - isn't it awful when we have to turn into a PINA before doctors (or vets for that matter) listen to us. We know our kids/pets.
Been there with mine in past, and when a livewire turns into a reluctant couch potato almost overnight, you know there is something wrong. Keep going back.
((hugs)) Anniestar for Phoebe, and everyone else, which my mind has gone blank on.
Good Luck at the dentist today Jayward.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
Morning, well fairly pleased with myself last night as DD announced a school trip I'd forgotton about and had no packed lunch stuff in including bread.
So I made some dough and baked some rolls, I don't think I quite have the knack of these yet but will keep preservering.
Also made some cakes and found a tin of fruit salad so plonked half in a container for her.
Recycled a water botttle and filled it with juice and viola, a packed lunch.
Eldest DD liked the look of it so much so opted to have one too.
Fairly busy day ahead.
Hope everyone has a productive, positive old style day.

Good morning all:D
And what a beautiful morning! Although I didn't sleep too well, it was too hot and DH had the fan on his side of the bedroom ( that will be changed for tonight:rolleyes:
) I haven't done too badly so far this morning, but spurred on by PenPen my plans have been even further adjusted;)
More gardening, we really are beginning to see results, even if it does involve quite large bare patches where my winter losses are showing up:o But while we're doing that I shall utilise the oven, and my portable timer to do some baking. The BM is already on, but I'll mix up some biscuits and they can be doing without me having to be near the heat from the oven.
Washing machine is on it's second load already. Fancy coming to do my ironing later PenPen? I've got some nice red and an even nicer white:D
And how strange, I was looking at the cotton left over from your dishcloths only last night. Think I might do myself a Darcy one. I just love the one you made me. They work so much better than bought ones don't they?
Well waffling on won't buy the baby a new bonnet ( see I'm recycling OS sayings from my Mum now:rotfl: )
mrs mix, that must be very concerning with DD. It does sound like a sort of panic attack. She really must see the Doc. (((((hugs)))) to you both.
Good luck to all those with tests etc and hugs for those with worries. My mind has gone a total blank:o
Bye for now CM x
edited to add, crossed with you Triker. I think that definitely takes the OS resourceful Gold medal. Well done you!!!!!!You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Morning all :hello:
Blimey Penny, I hope you don't overdo it.
Aussie Have you finished Churchie's chocolates yet? I can't believe you got so carried away by them.
How's the garden coming on smoky? Any pics yet? xxx
Have had a busy few days this week, trying to do some work for OH in between getting the cat up and down to the vet. Her appt is at 12 today so want to get some stuff finished off before then.
The girls' birthday is on Saturday but the party is Sunday and they have requested 2 towers of cupcakes instead of their birthday cakes. Reckon I need to make and ice a few dozen. Have more or less everything else organised but please pray for a fine day on Sunday so I don't have 12 7 year old in the house.
Have been very busy in the garden. The veggies are coming on well but will mostly be ready when we're on holiday in 2 weeks. I have to trust my FIL to pick and freeze stuff for me.
The windy nights are bringing lots of leaves down and yesterday we had our second baby blackbird on the decking. The parents are amazing and screech like mad when the babies fall from the nest. They fed them all day yesterday until OH returned them to the nest. I also had a huge surprise on Sunday when a red squirrel plonked down beside me on the deck. :j I thought it was a fluke but there was another on this morning so I will start feeding them as they nest at this time of year.
Washing is on the line (mostly because I forgot to bring it in last night)
DW is on and beds are made. Need to clean the bathroom today and tea will be sausage and mash with some sort of cauliflower cheese grill which I'm going to invent from last night's cauliflower cheese.
Have a good day everyone.
Haribo x
edited to add... Churchie...My PenPen dishcloth is the best I've ever had and despite Pink banning me from using it it is used and washed daily and still looks ike new.0 -

R Mac I was sick all day every day for 42 weeks with DD1 I used to have to get in the car with a bowl on my lap couldnt even make it down the road  all I could eat was crisps with prawn coleslaw

Hugs to all I have forgotten and who need them

DONT FORGET 5P E BAY LISTING DAY TOMORROW
see you all later off to do some photos for the above0 -
Hi everyone and thanks so much for the good wishes for DS1 - will let you know what the outcome is.
So, I'm not the only one with a stripping DH, then? RedRuby - I might just surprise him with the hose - I hadn't thought of that but it will pay him back for throwing a huge snowball at me inside the house that day we had the surprise snowstorm! I haven't got him back for that yet and he's still waiting to be ambushed!
KYLE - I hate to tell you this but it sounds like you are getting what I've just had! Mind you, it didn't last more than a few days, thankfully.
PINK.1970 - you must see the doctor about your bad back.
PenPin - where are you?
Mrs Mix - good luck with the vampire lady.
BETH - are you doing all that with just one arm? You must slow down - heaven knows what you'll be like when you are fully recovered from the op! You'll put us all to shame!
Well, DH went to work then five minutes later came back because, as usual, he had forgotten something! I couldn't get up to any mischief even if I wanted to!
First load of washing is on the line, the veggies are prepped for dinner and I have made a list of paperwork that must be done today. I don't need to go out until I collect DGS from school this afternoon so that gives me a fair bit of time. I have also put the ironing board up and plugged the iron in so I hope to get that done this morning. I have planted a lone courgette plant that DS1 gave me last week that I had forgotten about - he gave me two but one is going to DS2.
I must also phone my Mum - she sent me some lovely wool, a doll she has knitted for charity which I will post to Loving Hands with the teddies and hats that I've made and some bits and pieces she has cut out of magazines so I'll thank her for that. It'll will, of course, take an hour to thank her because we'll talk about everything else under the sun!
Anyway, I'd better go and get something done.
See you all later. Hope everyone is having this great weather.

Morning all.
It's scorchio again but there's a nice cooling breeze so it's comfortable.
It's my day off today so I'm getting sorted prior to heading back up north. I've a trailer full of "stuff" to sort out and the MOL needs a good going-through as well. I've also sold my pc to the new Wardens so I've got to transfer my photos and diving info onto the laptop.
I told the Boss last week that I'll be moving away as soon as I get sorted and he understands completely. He asked me if I'll stay for the summer holidays but tbh, the sooner I'm away, the better. Ironically, I had the Woodstock cassette on yesterday and it all became clear when I listened to a song called "I'm going home" by a group called "Ten Years After". I've been away from Yorkshire for nigh on ten years and I'm finally going home :j
Anyroadup, there's a trailer to sort out and the MOL needs a good fettle  'coz "mi Julie" is coming down here again on Friday so I'll check in later.
Have a good day one and all and take care.
Man try
