    Good morning everyone!

Seems a bit hit and miss me getting on here at the mo, not sure why cos I don't think I'm doing anything I don't usually do!

Had a lovely weekend in Newquay, the sun was lovely, had drinks on the beach when we arrived, then went out for the night in the town, interesting walk along the beach path back to the hotel, took my heels off as was walking on sand, and i'm sure I was walking on snails, yuck  Thankfully it was dark, so i couldn't see :rotfl:

Spent the next morning trolling around the town and on the beach, then drove up to Padstow for lunch, it was lovely. Drove home along the coast to avoid the busy motorway, and stopped off at a little village not far from home for a refreshing coke and fish and chips. Felt thoroughly refreshed, england in the sun just cannot be beaten!

Got BM and WM on, more washing out on line, need to have a quick hoover round downstairs and remove all the empty bottles of lotions and potions from kids bathroom, no idea where they all come from or why they can't throw them away

Not sure what dinner will be tonight, meal plan seems to have vanished, prob pasta with broccoli and cheese sauce as have loads of broccoli that i bought reduced and I don't think I have any room to freeze it!

Hope everyone has a lovely day xx

New washing machine is just finishing its spin so will hang stuff out in a few minutes.

Have just got a letter from British gas saying they want to double our DD!!!!

Wish we could get moved to a house which is easier to heat!!

Still have a little soup left from yesterday and some gammon and will make new potatoes and spicy chicken for tonight.

DD has a long meeting today so will be a bit later so I have the house to myself!!!:j

I am waiting for two postal deliveries so when the bell went just now I raced to the door!

Turned out to be for our next door neighbours!!

Hugs to pennyp, smokey, Candy girl,Betheebee, Anniestar and Jayward.

    Good morning!:hello:

    Anniestar Hope Phoebe is okay

Haribo - same goes for your cat! I haven't read all yesterday's thread yest so will catch up in a mo.

Penny_Pincher - Hope you are gradually feeling a bit better - thinking of you. Hope the hospital visits aren't proving too gruelling.(((HUGS)))

    Smokybabe ((((HUGS))))

Mioliere - sorry to hear about your DS! You must just nag him until he goes to the doctor. It could well be a virus though, there are some strange ones about these days! (((HUGS)))

    Mrs Mix - (((HUGS)))

jannyannie - glad you are feeling brighter today!

Triker - well done! Sounds a lovely packed lunch. Our children do like to surprise us at the last minute, don't they:rolleyes:

Pink.1970 Hope you managed to get an appointment.

taplady - have a lovely time in Devon! (Thought I'd wish you well now, in case i don't post again before you go .) Hope the weather stays nice. Whereabouts in Devon are you going?)

Stefejb - great result in the fooball the other night! I can imagine you dancing gleefully round the living room! The bunting looks wonderful.

(((HUGS))) to everone who needs one.

Well, I finally found an opportunity to put some nail polish on my toenails - I'm always astonished at how much better it makes my feet look, but am hoping to go to Bluewater today or tomorrow to get some new sandals so I'm glad I managed to do it.

Last night I used some of the "improved formula" Johnson's Holiday Skin lotion, as I'd read somewhere that it didn't smell funny anymore (come to think of it, i probably read it in one of their adverts:rolleyes: Well, sorry Johnson's, it does still smell funny, though doesn't seem quite so pungent this morning. I'd also read that it needs a few goes before you can see any difference, but it definitely shows today all right, you can see where I didn't apply it evenly:D I just put it on my legs to start with, so they wouldn't look so lily-whte, but then decided to put some on my arms as well......I now have one arm darker than the other:D Oh well, it'll wear off soon.

Dinner tonight - chicken with roasted veg, if I can manage to make myself prep the veg - at least I feel better than I did yesterday. :p

    Best wishes

Just had a huge box delivered - it is the Christy towels I ordered less than two days ago!!!

Four bath sheets and four hand towels - £40 for the lot!!!

I saved about £120 and they look really good!!!:j

Need to find somewhere to hide them now as DH will say I should not have bought anything new that clutters up the house until we have sold it!!!!

    Morning :hello:

((((hugs)))) to all who need them, including PP, smokybabe, anniestar, candygirl, Chrisca, mrs_mix and r.mac. Sorry if I have missed anybody who could do with one.

Need to pick up a spice rack from a Freecycler after work. It was a real stroke of luck actually. I have been looking for a spice rack and some pan hooks to mount on the wall behind my kitchen door which is currently not used (and given the size of my kitchen, I can't afford to have space that isn't used). A couple of days ago not only did one come up on Freecycle, but it was one of the actual ones I had been looking at :j :T Even better, the person who's giving it away lives near where I work, and a 1min walk from a bus stop I can get home from...

Thought I might have had a double stroke of Freecycle luck as somebody was also giving away a shelving unit almost identical to the one I have been planning to buy for additional storage in my bedroom - but unfortunately somebody else got there first. Looks like I will be going to Argos or Ikea after all...

Going to a concert this evening :)

Edited to say: elona, surely all you need to do is get rid of your mankiest old towels, and have the posh new ones on display in your bathroom when you have viewers round? Thanks again for the Christy tip-off - I ordered some things myself, 2 each of hand towels, bath towels and bath sheets, and am now thinking maybe they'll arrive today :j

    Love Rzl xx

    Hi all
I've been and seen the vampire lady it was the nice one today so no pain no bruising but she did take 3 big vials of bloodjawdrop.gif
my gp phoned about dd and I told him everything and he has said it could be glandular fever but at the moment he doesn't want to subject her to a blood test as she is getting the panics so to give her calpol and see how she is in a few day's and go from there ,I am going to phone the school in a bit and see if she can go part time for a while so she's not missing too much but not getting worn out either
going to change the washing in the machine and hang out whats done as it looks like it might rain later
and later on if my ds's don't tidy their bedroom I'm going to be doing thisSmackBottom.gif

    pam xx

    morning

haribo - It better not be twins! Mind you , that would mean I'd never have to do this again...that's quiet appealing already!

Anniestar hope that Poebe is better today. I think your observation about eating and painkillers was a good one and I'm sorry that the vet's weren't more understanding/accommodating. Go get a second opinion and good luck.
    elona - what a bargain!

mioliere your mum is brilliant - all that knitting and some lovely wool too!

Hugs to everyone else - especially Smokey who I haven't heard from in ages, but still think about you and your family.

I'm feeling much better today - not been sick this morning and managed to eat a punnet of raspberrys and a small bowl of cereal. Feeling very smug with myself!!!

    let's hope it lasts :D

With four DDs using sun tanning stuff, hair dye etc - I really need to keep the manky old towels for stuff like that.

I do want to put one of the new towels out if we ever get another viewing but have found a spare drawer that I can hide the towels in for now!

When we had the last viewing I cleared all kitchen surfaces and just had a new tea towel that said "Kitchen Goddess" on display ( got it from Primark really cheaply.

Also got porcelain vase with gilt trim from charity shop for £3 as DH had "tidied" the crystal vase and had no idea where it was!
