    hey guys

just wondering if you can help with this one...

want to go from hatfield (herts) to blackpool pleasure beach on 30th july after 4pm, returning on 1st august any time during the day.

cheapest i have seen is £51.90 (with young persons railcard which i can purchase before that date)

anyone get anything cheaper? i cant figure this all out!

You can buy that fare on the day - it's a walkon fare. It won't sell out and it won't go up

You could probably have done better by booking in advance - but at this late stage I doubt if there's a cheaper way
  • Dont know if this may already be on here. If you click on the link it should take you to the daily mail link to get a family and friends railcard for £13 for a year. Once you have purchased it you can claim a free years membership worth £22 with the Youth Hostel Association. Only thing is it must be done by close of play today. I have just signed up for mine.

As I am a new member I cant post a link so have put a space where the dots should be, so if you type this into your browser add in a dot instead of a space.

Southern Raliways Summer Sale - save 25% Off-Peak

Details are at http://www.southernrailway.com/. It states 'Save 25% off many Off-Peak day tickets when you buy online and travel before 30th August. Take the kids with you for just 75p each.'

In the email, which I got today, it also states 'And while you're in London, why not take advantage of great 2FOR1 offers on a whole range of experiences and attractions like London Zoo and Madame Tussauds. Find out more at www.daysoutguide.co.uk.'

    Hope the above helps.

Somerset's a big place - where would help. And at least the rough date/timing of the return journey

A peak hour open ticket is not going to be cheap though however you do it.

  • Can anyone find me cheap train tickets for the following:

-Leaving Swansea on 26th Nov to Heathrow.
-Need to be there by 11am
-Returning same journey 2nd Dec after 9am.
    - 2 passengers, no railcards

It's coming up at over £100pp :( I did same journey last year for £30pp return! I looked at dead on the 12 week mark to get advance tickets and it was still the same price.

    Cheers
