I notice that people have been buying Ipods nanos. When quickly looking through the stores I haven't seen any. Are they still being sold in the photographic section or somewhere else?

Look for a glass cabinet with a lock on it in one of the aisles. In Cheltenham it is near the photographic section but in an aisle near other electronics like food mixers and also the few DVDs they have. You may also find a display of iPod sleeves and accessories that is bigger than the actual space for the players!

I did look in Gloucester yesterday and again there was a locked cabinet, I think it was in a similar location near the permanent stock of electronics as well as gifts, so perhaps it's similar thinking over all stores. I don't think there is a photographic dept there (or if it is it isn't on the first floor where the iPods are).

  • Hello everyone,

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this already so here goes...(taken from the chronicles of an experienced boots addict...)

If you can, book yourself on an xmas shopping evening for 22nd Nov or 30th Nov -do so as these dates are when you get to use the 10% off leaflet containing 3 vouchers - this year though I noticed they were not being freely handed out at all or shown on display unlike last year. If you are savvy enough, you can use these in addition to all other vouchers on your points eve. I did this last year and also at my last xmas shop at Liv St which was on one of these special dates. The place was packed but the vouchers were on the counters and you had to ask for one if you knew about them already else you paid 10% more than need be. So we (including my sister) made our shops up to £62 -10% voucher -£5 no7 voucher each time leaves a £50 shop for 1200 points and then used double points vouchers and ad card as well as ad mag vouchers too!

Also, and this is for everyone, so definitely worth picking up leaflets, you can also use these 10% off vouchers when redeeming points in store!

so a £50 item =5000 points less 10% of points means you redeem 4500 points so make your points go moneysaving further too.

I had fun with boots last year (if anyone recalls...)

PS the leaflet dates that are still valid are the 2nd one on 16/11/2005 to 22/11/2005 and the 3rd one from 30/11/2005 to 06/12/2005.

So go spend some hard earned points...after all it's christmas!

    Hiya,
Not heard of these before - so I must be one of the overpayers

Are the vouchers only valid for shopping evenings on the 22nd/30th, or for the whole week(s)? My local one is Thurs 24th and I'll be able to go in before then and ask at the tills to get the leaflet hopefully.

    Thank you for the info.

  • The vouchers are valid for the the 2 remaining date periods specified earlier but xmas shop evening dates that coincide with the 10% off periods seem to be only 22nd eg. Glasgow (lucky glaswegians!) and 30th eg. Basildon (Lucky Basildonians!)
  • I work for Boots and it is subject to availability. If you spend £50 you get £5 back, so you pay £45.

The coupons are also only designated to that store, they are not nationwide so you would have to enquire at the most convenient boots to you.

I was giving loads of these out the other day on the shop floor and they seem quite popular. My store's coupons were designed not to co-incide with the Advantage Card night. Clever or what eh?
IF I HAVE BEEN OF USE TO YOU, THEN PLEASE CLICK THAT THANKS BUTTON :)
  • Hi - i haven't had any mailings from boots you know the usual one where you get the double points voucher - please can anyone tell me how I can get my hands on one or who i can contact pleasE?

Got my local shopping evening this week. So I must remember to take my double points voucher, any other vouchers from AC machine, vouchers from magazine........................how the heck will I remember all these !! then must remember to make sure I spend £55 if I buy any No 7 items and use voucher........................anything else:confused::D ????????????? :)
  • if you have any of the £5 off vouchers they were giving you when you spent £20 they can be used from the 21st november so if your store has an evening on next week you can get 1200 points plus save £5

boots at lakeside have an evening on the 24th nov so you can use your vouchers then
  • Hi,

I used my 10% off voucher on some hair straighteners reduced from £69.99 to £34.99

However, when I checked my receipt the 10% had been taken off the original cost, not the reduced price, taking off £7 and bringing the cost down to £28. (plus the £5 voucher, plus 300 points for spending over £30, as I bought my lunch at the same time!)

So anyone with a 10% off voucher to use might find it worthwhile to use against reduced items, for an even bigger reduction - can't guarantee it will work all the time, though!

    Complicated
