L... and worked out how many MPG I got by seeing how many kilometres I covered before I got back to the number of litres I had prior to filling up. Entered this information into a kilometres/miles converter and then ...
Is the odometer not reading in miles? This could explain the discrepancy. If you have converted a miles reading assuming it to be km, into to miles (when it was already miles), you're MPG should be around 40.0 -
I still think the calculations are wrong, or there is something wrong with your car.
You can do the sum on your calc
How many litres you have used = x
4.54 lites in a gallon
divded by the miles you have done.0 -

The gauge measures in kilometres, the total distance covered is displayed in miles.
I've used that website to calculate MPG, came up with the same result.0 -
Dispense with the website follow Lucy's and Landy Andys instructions with a calculator. I am sure their is an error in there.0

Hardly, I didn't just use that website, I've used 5-6.0

Hi If you post your readings at the end of the week . I will do the calculation for you.
Im also confused why is your car in kilometres. I thought they all were in miles

Don't ask me Titeascramp, the overall distance covered is in miles although the other counter which you can reset is in kilometres.0

thats a clever dashboard you have then.
get a pen and paper, note the mileage on the paper before filling up,then when empty note mileage again on the paper and do the maths.this will be the miles covered....work permit granted!0 -
Like I have said so many times, I have done this.
I filled the car, used up the amount I filled up with, counted how far I had gone and then worked out how many MPG I managed (25MPG).0
