evening all just popping on to say hi

had a busy day here, ds3 has a ear infection and is on antibiotics again (8th time this year he has had antibiotics) eczema has also flared, now i can see why he has been so misrable last few days and sleeping worse than usual

been mega warm here, ds3 (owen) new nappies arrived i was told to go back to disposables last year due to his skin, its made no difference imo and i gave his nappies away so ive brought some more, today ive washed them twice, they have lined dried and now he currantly has one on, ive really missed seeing them on the line, when he has finished with them my sister (due in sept) should be ready for size 2 for her lo, or maybe i will just stash them in the hope one day.....

up to date on all the washing, just need to tackle the bathroom, there bath needs re sealing and it has a musty smell (any ideas)

off now, its early but my bed is calling me

Hand towels were £2.50 instead of £10 each and bath sheets (the biggest size) were £7.50 each instead of £30!

I think some of the designs might be even cheaper so it is worth a look.

Have gammon joint to make lentil and ham soup with tomorrow so might make that in the slow cooker then I can go out and leave it if I want to go shopping for DD(14) to cheer her up as she really misses her two older sisters.

I am so delighted to have a washing machine that works I have put the fourth load of the day on to wash!

Might even hang it out on the line before I go to bed!

Thanks Beth, she had a great time, and is now very tired and a bit red from the sun, we went on the Eye as a family just before Xmas last year, and it was very scary, but a brilliant trip, you should really try and go one day, its a great day out. Hope all is well with you xx

Hi fizzel, sealing the bath will certainly stop the smell getting any worse, can you take the bath pannel off to let it air a bit, also give it a good wash out with stardrops or similar.

    Hi Catz

Just been dipping in briefly for the last 5 minutes. Re turning the small bedroom into an office. We did this when DS left home. We did end up at Ikea and chose the Billy range. Not sure if they do a desk unit because we never looked at that option. DH more concerned about shelving for his books. They do a good corner unit which meant the room could 'flow'! I put up the units myself and once I had done the first one the rest were easy. We also put in a sofa bed so room could still be a bedroom. I use it as my bolt hole to watch my programmes plus it is great for doing the ironing in as not far to go to put away in wardrobes, drawers etc.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi everyone

As you know I am not quite on the ball at the moment but I try and have a quick dip in now and then.

Busy weekend with the boys, busy today at work and came home and had a nap. However, felt much better for that and have managed to do an Everest foothill ironing plus finishing up tidying away after the boys, hoovering up the food that was chucked on the floor!

My weekend towels washing now and the boys stuff will go on the timer overnight (I only use Fairy for their stuff).

Not been feeling too well today - wonder if it is the Prozac kicking in. Nausea/heartburn/tiredness.

Regulars will know that I went through the trauma of a new kitchen earlier this year. Well, the joiner came back on Friday to fix my kitchen door (we could not remove the protective film from the glass panels) and the door had also spread so it would not shut properly. Phoned my decorator tonight and he hopes to come down next week to finally put the last coat of varnish on the new doors and then (fingers crossed) that will be that. Once everything complete I will post on Where the Magic Happens!

Love and hugs to all who are not having good times, those who are, and those who are celebrating anything.

    GB xxxxxxx

PS Had hoped to water garden tonight but wind is rising and it will only cause splashback from the hose and I will get soaked. Will take a gamble and leave until tomorrow. Too much to contemplate a watering can.

    Hi Aussie

Thanks for the thanks. DH having a fantastic time in OZ and seen loads of birds. Has just come back from 2 days' walkabout and got excited about Budgies and Cockatoos! Likened it to being in a pet shop! Embarking tomorrow on a 7-8 day trip so won't hear from him.

DGS1 slightly concerned that Grandad might be eaten by a crocodile. I said Grandad too thick skinned!!!!

Hope all well with you and yours, especially your sister.
