Count me in again, and i'll see how far i don't get this week. I am starting off absolutely shattered as DS1 was really ill last night - no idea what was wrong, but he had a fever, and kept waking up crying every half hour between us making it to bed at 10:30 and 2:30, at which point he woke DS2 up, so i fed him then, and again at 5:30, at which point he didn't really settle.

And as an added bonus, one of the cats are puking again, and left us several piles to clean up this morning.

I've just managed to settle the 2 of them now, so having a sanity saver. DH must be shattered today as he did most of the actual dealing with DS1 last night - getting him medicine and a drink and nappy changing. To be honest though, i am that sleep deprived from DS2 at the moment i was waking but felt ill myself when getting up. Don't feel much better now.

Seems though i have no idea what is wrong with him, my best guesses are: sunstroke, constipation and/or teething, or perhaps a combo of the 3, so i tried to get him to drink some OJ, i have given him more calpol, and rubbed some teething gel on his gums and given him a teether. Kids are such hard work aren't they.

Anyway, back to flying. What's that?

I will try and do what i can when i can between dealing with the 2 boys, and i had best grab a snooze at some point in case we have more of the same tonight.

    Jobs Achieved:
    • all up and dressed
    • all washed and teeth cleaned
    • food offered to everyone, DS1 turned down 3 different options
    • kitchen bin emptied

    would like to do today:
    • hoover kitchen/DR/LR
    • write acceptance card for K's wedding
    • write birthday card for K
    • write fathers day cards - N, D and FIL
    • write J's birthday card
    • have a look at CTC claim pack - try to fill in
    • wash up breakie and lunch dishes
    • clean inside and outside of microwave
    • wipe up mould i found on the wall behind the pantry door
    • wipe front of large appliances
    • run steriliser, make up bottles
Right, lets see if there is enough of Barney left for me to make another cuppa and catch up on here before starting.

    Hi

I probably won't be posting much as I have an action packed week, but I will be using the list and I wanted to say thank you to pigpen for putting it up.

I can never keep up with this thread... I need to prioritise more ;)

Morning all. Lovely day here again, getting hot out there already.

    Windows are open.

I've cut the front grass, edged it and swept up.
Wiped down kitchen cupboards, worktops, small and big appliances, table.
    Dusted living room.
    Vacuumed right through downstairs.
Washed DD's curtains and curtains from dining room end of kitchen.
Cleaned kitchen windows and DD's window.
Did a load of clothes washing too.
Ironed both sets of curtains (they dried in about half an hour)
They are dangling over the banisters for DH to put back up.
Did a water change on the fish tank (still got that one fish).

I am not planning to do much more today, just cook dinner and go to work tonight.

Arrrgggh a meter reader turned up no engineer. I rang up and the job was booked in as a meter reading and not exchanging a meter. I thought it was strange as I only had my meter read 2 weeks ago.

    Happy Birthday Hippy :bdaycake:
  • Hello everyone - this is my first day on Flylady and flippin' eck! I didn't realise my kitchen, which always looks fine, was so minging! I moved all the stuff off of the worksurfaces and cleaned it all and then started on the cupboards - it took me over an hour just to go through all the stuff I have just stuffed out of the way and I have almost filled a black bin bag with useless carp and have nearly filled my charity shop bin bag. Have also sorted out all the stuff which really should be in the shed and put it in a little box in there and got my washing out on the line. HHI done already but will need to do more later.

    Dishwasher is full and on.

I can't decide whether or not to ditch my toaster. It is an old 4 slice thing and takes up alot of room but it works okay and is reasonably clean looking - but I get really fed up with the amount of crumbs it makes - they seem to be everywhere, even though I clean them up every time it is used IYKWIM. It occured to me that I might give it to the charity shop or to my sister and just use the grill when I want to make toast. My grill is a super fast one and toast doesn't actually take much longer to do on there and there is the advantage that I can do toast for the whole family at the one time instead of in batches. Any ideas?

I'd ditch it personally, if it is inefficient and annoying(hubby you listening;) ) i wouldnt use it. Take it off the work top and see how much more space you have without it:D Bet it looks miles better:T

Most charity shops will not accept electrical goods any more.. maybe try freecycle??

I'd get rid. Ours is a 6 slice dualit.. in need of repair.. I may call them now actually..
