Hugs to Tia and Vanilla and welcome to Yorkshire Chick xx

I've got 35 mins before open viewing. I cant actually be bothered doing anything else. I wonder if I should take a chance and start doing my ironing at 7 once I've had a quick mad dash around the house? What do you all think?

Mad hour as DS1 got a call for cricket as somebody dropped out. He can now play as school game was cancelled. Him and little one were eating tea (hot dogs) in the car on the way there and took one for the coach as I need him to bring DS1 home as it is way past bedtime for DS3.

My tea now cooking. Really want to try to get all the seed stuff back in the box.

SSL - I was going to say I'd get the ironing out but thought that was a bit much from someone who irons about 10 things a year! Sending viewer vibes

Tia - hope you and DS are OK

Vanilla - hope A&E can sort something for your DH

    Welcome Yorkshire Chick

Pink - hope the interview went well

Hooray!! not just me then, found tinsel and a x-mas gift-tag in the sofa!! :rotfl:

Hi to all new and old!

Been really busy/good today again. My house is looking really good already.
Only realised today that this is the longest (5years) I've ever lived in one place since leaving home, which explains why it's so filthy! Normally do a super clean on moving in and out of paces and turn a blind eye inbetween, obviously not very practical if one chooses to stay put in one house.:rotfl:Once I feel a bit more on top of this (i.e. when the novelty of cleaning wears off) I will be more sociable .

Here is what I have done today, trying to pace myself so will leave the rest for today. Might do the rest tomorrow as I DO NOT clean the Terrible Twosome's rooms. I'm not that brave.

Mad Monday - Kitchen of Kreation

Wipe over the cupboards and large appliances
    Sweep and mop the floor
    HHI
Deweb the downstairs of the house!!

Scrub down the woodwork.. skirtings, door frames etc

Terrific Tuesday - Bathroom of Bubblovia and Sparkling Study
    Twinkle the tiles
Throw out/get rid of 3 things from every room in your house!!

Wonderful Wednesday - Bedroom of Duvet-nia & Landing of Loveliness

    HHI
    Clean the windows
    Do
    freezer inventory

Fluffy Fursday - Sitting Room of Sunshine and Hallway of Happiness

    Level Two
[STRIKE]Vacuum the floor now it is visible[/STRIKE]
    Wash any
[STRIKE] throws[/STRIKE]/curtains[STRIKE]/cushion that need freshening up[/STRIKE] Saving the curtains for next week.
[STRIKE]Clean any glass.. pictures, windows, mirrors etc[/STRIKE] Well, did that in the lounge at least, pretending there are none in the hallway
    Level Three
    [STRIKE]Vacuum under any furniture[/STRIKE]
Sort through the shoes and coats and bags.. make them pretty!
[STRIKE]HHC in the porch[/STRIKE] Easy as I don't have one
    Extras
    1. [STRIKE]Groom the hairy pets..hmm, there is no way to catch her and hold on long enough lol,but luckily our cat is very vain and always impeckably groomed all by herself[/STRIKE] Plenty of her fur on the sofa, can I knit a cat or a hat from what I collected ??? Would make a cheapo x-mas gift for someone...
    2. 29 fling boogie
    3. Spend 15 minutes tackling the hotspot in your bag..Time to change to another one anyway, might even go and buy a new one I saw a awhile ago, I deserve it! Will deffo do that tomorrow.
    4. Wipe the woodwork in these areas I have woodwork????
    Just for laughs..
Tell Your Children Over Dinner. 'Due To The Economy, We Are Going To Have To Let One Of You Go.' I did and they rolled their eyes and pointed at each other!

Cheeky sods, when they came home from school they looked in to the lounge, raised their eyebrows and said "OOOh, it's clean." One of them later wondered where their mum was and Who am I ????

    Time for a cuppa now.:coffee:

Not bad for about 40 minutes effort - I guess it shows I COULD have a tidy house if I didn't just come home and veg in front of the computer every night.

Off to put my dinner in the oven then hoover then I'll have to stop there else I'll never get the studying bit done...

Hugs to Vanilla - A&E will sort him out I'm sure
Hugs to Tia - RICE is the key - and if it's not better in the morning get yourself down A&E for an xray.

Welcome New People - don't work yourselves too hard at the start - little steps...

I'm all a flap - busy day at work trying to play catch-up because I was off yesterday - still snotty and not 100% but at least I'm heading north... Got home from work and found the postman had left a card for the trousers I ordered from M&S online in the week. The sorting office was handily close to a 'consultation' exhibition for a new enormous development about a mile up the road from me so I was able to kill two birds with one lot of petrol.

The M&S bird was a beaut...The trousers fit fantastically (M&S think I'm a 14:D) so I'm going to order a couple more pairs of EXACTLY the same model so I have some spares. I'm so fussy and finicky with clothes (can't wear man made fibres - am an odd size - the trousers I'm currently wearing for work are two years old and beginning to look it!) I have to buy multiple items of something if I find it's a success.

The consultation bird was not a beaut .... in fact it was an eye opener. Got chatting to one of the architect consultants and he mentioned that of course, this is just the start of the regeneration of this whole area there are plans to do a lot more development over the next 5-10 years...... Oh? I ask innocently, is there a long term plan for the area? No, he says, it's just verbal but there's talk about doing this, that, the other  . Now, who is it making these strategic development plans for an area? It's not the local Councillors. Nothing is written down, it's all 'verbal' plans and ideas without consultation BEFORE things are written down? I can see this nice little historic quarter of town being bulldozed before we know it. Like this new development - clearly people have been talking and planning behind closed doors until 2 months before planning is being put in, the 'consultation' happens with the idea already firmly established, glossy pix drawn up etc. etc. No-one consulted residents about WHAT they would like there before a plan (which is totally unexpected) was developed. Ahh me! I may have a fight on my hands!

And then, I get home and DD rings -
    "Did you get my text?"
    " No - I haven't checked the mobile. "
"Oh, well it's just we're going for a meal tonight and thought we might pop in for 5 minutes"

Nearly fell off my chair. She's been seeing her bloke for must be coming up to 2 years and I haven't been allowed to meet him yet. I have spoken briefly to him on the phone once - when he rang the landline and I just handed him over to DD. I know what he looks like because of a picture in the paper (long story - he was a victim). But I'VE NEVER MET HIM - TONIGHT - WITHIN THE NEXT HOUR, I MIGHT !!!!! Gosh, I feel nervous all of a sudden! Fortunately, due to fly lady, the place is up to scratch. But, I'll just go and wipe the kitchen tops one more time.....

    Wish me luck ladies!
