Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker
I had the same problem and it was the diverter valve.

It was cheaper for me to do the British Gas "fixed price repair" at £250 rather than the 3 Corgi plumbers that came over, all wanting about £300-£350. The part alone for my boiler was £160.

It doesn't cost anything to get a plumber round for a quote. I went through the Corgi website, called up the five plumbers who lived nearest to me and they all came after work. Two turned up and told me it was the diverter valve. The other scratched his head for awhile and I said "could it be the diverter valve" and he said "ah, yes"! So once you have got two-three people round then at least they can tell you what is wrong and how much it will cost. Then you can decide on how to fix it.
  • I wonder if someone could advise/point me in the right direction.

I've started having a problem with my 'Worchester Bosch 35 CDi' boiler.

Recently the Hot Water has sterted being a bit funny. When i initally turn the tap on it come out boiling hot. However, it thenm becomed tepid and will not heat up. Even thought hte bioler is set to MAX.

    The central heating works fine.

The boiler is is just over 2 years old...sods law isn't it...it had a 2 year warrenty on it.
  • Hi
Does anyone know why my combi boiler should suddenly start heating up the radiators in the house when the heating control is set to off?

    Many thanks

Why does renting mean that you are unable to tell the make of the boiler?
  • Cant see any make on the boiler, and as i did not install it i do not know.
