MY mother had hallucinations many years ago after she had an operation. Reckoned she saw spiders crawling around the walls, etc, gave the night staff a real headache as she kept yelling that the male nurse was raping her. We can look back and laugh
at it now but at the time it was awful as we didn't know if she would get back to normal. This was from the drugs she was on we were told. She did get better, but as the op was a big one the anthestic did acelerate her dementia & within a couple of years she had no memory whatsoever.
It must be a worrying time for you Squeaky, chin up & take care.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
So sorry to hear that things seem to be not too good. :grouphug:
Do try to get accurate information as to what is happening, and what the hospital are doing about it.
It's so difficult when everyone is so upset.
Lots of best wishes

My mum had strong painkillers for the flu once (distalgesic) and was hallucinating and so did my nan on the same pills. Sometimes prescribed drugs cause all sorts of problems.0

Yes, I know. They did change his drug regimen and were apparently surprised when this didn't solve the problem.
