    Hi all

Sorry I didnt get back on to post last night - busy day in the house & garden and was just shattered. The good thing is it meant I slept through til 7:30 this morning.

If your interested, this is some of what we were up to yesterday.

The catio (wall nearly demolished - to be completed tomorrow, then we can lay the decking tiles)

    DSCN0311-1.jpg

And I put up some blinds - here are the ones in the living room - I also did the bedroom.

    DSCN0309.jpgDSCN0310-1.jpg

Am painting the garden wall today, and the shed. Need to finish digging out the grape vine.

Spoke to my mum last night and she has offered to pay towards the decking tiles, and to plant out the borders for me once I have dug them - that means free plants :T .

    Hi,

I think its excellent that you knit, I sew/dressmake - I think there may be a thread over on the Old Style board on knitting, there's definitely one for dressmaking/sewing. There's something about doing tasks with you hands that is so theapeutic. Yesterday, I cut up some of the pamplet with of my bread recipes in and glued them to cardboard (recycled from a shoebox in true MS style) and then wrapped them in clear plastic wrapping and hole punched them and threaded them all on to string.

It means that they wont get ruined when theyre in the kitchen and I dont need to keep flicking through the pages worrying that they will get ruined and I dont have another copy.

I hate shortening trousers tho, which was what I was supposed to be doing yesterday!

Okay, so I got my train tickets through the post this morning and they're a lot bigger than normal tickets (I knew they would be anyway as I've ordered with thetrainline before) What do I do if the train station has one of those check in ticket machine things? I'm assuming they only take one size of ticket and my ticket wouldn't fit. =/

Right have caught up on the thread now  .

LadyM - sounds like you had a busy day yesterday too. Did they get everything done they were supposed to? And how did you get on with the magazine?

StephB how are the feet and teeth today? Bad luck with the van yesterday - it was an accident though so hope your mum has forgiven you.

Shaz - great idea to make a jewellery box. Wish I was that good at making things. I can do rough construction (like shed roof!) but am no good at detailed work.

FeelingGood - yes I was busy yesterday. Didnt get to the beach because I kept on seeing more things that needed doing! And have loads more to do today. Hopefully the rain will hold off because it is a bit cooler today so should get lots done.

Cholly - great news on Mr Cs job.

Top_Drawer - did you get the trousers done yet?

:hello: Fairydawn, Diamond, Q_B, Alba, Tulip, Hazey, Meyore, AB, and everone else who is reading, have a lovely day, sending hugs if you need them.

Sara, welcome to the board. They are a great bunch (they seem to be willing to put up with my wafflings anyway!).

Right I am off now to go and see what chores I can find to do this afternoon.

    Laters peeps.

    KL.

    Hi anni

"ticket machine things" do you mean like those at london tube stations, you put your ticket in a slot and it pops out at another slot?Ther'es normally a guard near those "thingys" lol just show your tickets to him/her.Don't worry, there will be someone nearby to help you.Where you off to then?

Most train stations have a little man at the ticket gate who can let you through. I dont think they can leave the automatic gates unmanned (think if someone disabled needed to get through and they couldnt?) If all else fails there should be a disabled access gate which you could use - I think most stations have these as well.

    Thanks guys.

Instead of running away from my problems, I'm going to run into them head on.

I know some people might be "Why? After all they put you through" etc but I just get this innate feeling that my nan is going to die soon and I still feel like I owe her something. I want answers as to why I was put through so much crap. I doubt I'll get them but you never know. It can go either one of two ways. Either it will heal me, or it will break me and at the moment I'm prepared to take the risk.

I can't keep running away all the time because it won't be long before there's nowhere to run anymore. I'm still young. It's better I do this now and know whether I'm going to get answers or not then wait and my mum and nan die and then never know if I could get answers or not.

I am apathetic towards my family. I have no feelings towards them. I don't love them or hate them but this is something I have to do.

*gets ready for an ear bashing*

P.s. I'm taking a friend with me so I'm not alone.

    Hi everyone,

Glad your better today QB, did you get a good sleep last night? We all have bad days, not sleeping doesn't help.

Wow, Shaz well done! The race is on, luckily I only have 1 bathroom :rotfl: mmm, and ironing is a no no here! But you did really well this morning, bet it feels good. I'll talk to you about getting pics on here! It's all easy when you know how!

Gosh KL, you have been busy too! Thanks for posting the pics.

Good luck Anni, sounds to me like you are being really brave. I hope it helps, I really think it's worth the try. All the best of luck.

Hi to everyone else too  Hope you're ok.

I've done the gym, just making lunch then I'm going out. Will catch you all later.

P.S. Diamond, the sun was out earlier! :D But it's gone again now and it doesn't look too promising!
