Heya Alba.
BPD has been mentioned to me since I was 17-18ish. On my CPA my CPN wrote that I had "Borderline Personality Traits" which I later found out meant that I had the disorder but they didn't want to diagnose me at that age as my personality might still be developing etc.Now I'm 21, my personality has stopped developing, but truth be told, I've been this way for years.lol.
I know that some people with BPD are put on meds to control their impulses. My friend is but she doesn't take them sometimes.lol. I also read that BPD is present in 50% of all patients with an ED.

I think it's the only way to get some decent information most of the time. Specialists don't say much!0

Does your personality stop developing? I don't think I'm the same person I was 20, 10, 5, or 1 year ago.
For example, I used to be very non-confrontational and put up with a lot of crap. Now, if Mr C so much as looks at me the wrong way, I'll brain him with the wok I bought today (only 3.99€ from IKEA) ...
I've changed in the last few months as well, I get cross instead of upset when things are going badly with Mr C. Mind you, that could be the happy pills nice Mr Psychiatrist gave me ... :rotfl:0 -

Chollita - I think it's more the core of the personality or something.lol. I'll research it tomorrow and try and give you a link.
Alba - That is too true.lol. I always read up on things. The ED specialist seemed a bit surprised that I had an understanding of my life and the way I felt. I've lived like this for many years. If I can't change a lot of aspects about myself or my upbringing, I might as well try to understand myself.2019 Wins

I would have thought it continued to change (develope) also. I'm definitely a different person than I was before! I wonder if it's my imagination?0 -
