Congratulations REDRUBY! Well done.
Hi Martyn - great to hear from you and that life is getting better and better for you! I think it's a great idea moving and making a fresh start - as long as you keep in touch with us, of course! I do hope you get work in the wildlife area - you obviously love it. 'Ya Julie' sounds like a lovely girl - exactly what you deserve!

DH is back from Sweden tonight (but not till late) and still has more work to do over the weekend
I have to go into the office myself tomorrow (while the Young Penguins are at swim club). Numpty that I am, I didn;t read the instructions properly for the course I'm doing on Tues and Wed, and need internal internet info.
We've been invited to a barbeque tomorrow afternoon, so looking forward to that.

Hi Martyn
Thanks for letting us all know how you are, you sound as though you know exactly what you want to do, so go for it.
Sounds like you might not be there next time we come down, just hope whoever takes over is as good at parking the caravans as you are
You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Well done redruby

Hugs for pen-pin, hope you start feeling a bit better soon :grouphug:
Marytn - you sound so positive, that's great
Well, back from exam - got covered in silly string and confetti on the way back as I got caught in the cross fire outside the exam hall (it's a tradition that they plaster the finalists as the come out of their last exam - although the proctors have banned people using food based wepeons this year after some nasty incidents involving passers by). I still have green goo and sparkles in my hair :rotfl:
Nice peaceful afternoon... as everybody else is going punting with the fourth years who handed in today. My pathological hatred of water keeps me firmly in here though
so quiet it's lovely

Hi everyone
((((hugs)))) for all who need or want one
Wasn’t around yesterday as had a sort of duvet day, gave myself a talking to last night (think it had to do with the nasty experience at the job centre and the interview-that-wasn’t) and am much better today, mind you had my hair cut this morning, ready for my ‘proper’ interview next week ie no agency involved, just good old fashioned replying to ad in newspaper.
Bargain Rzl – I hope you enjoy Glyndebourne, years back I worked for a printers who did all their printing and we got free tickets to the final dress rehearsals, I went a couple of times and really enjoyed it. It used to make me smile when I saw ‘the picnic area is near the Ha-ha.’ Wasn’t till I lived near someone whose husband was head gardener there that I found out exactly what a ha-ha was.
Essex-girl – my ex mil was like yours, they had a farm and she used to sell plants, was asked for pepper plants, she grew some to sell but never planted any out because ‘those sort of things aren’t for people like us’
Redruby/AussieLass – I was on a bus once when the driver stopped, announced to us (all 3 of us me, an older lady and a man) that he didn’t feel well, then started fitting. I was only about 16 at the time, luckily the lady took control and sent me off to find a phone (this was in days before mobiles) I knocked at the first house I came across and explained, luckily the lady in the house rang for ambulance cos am sure I wouldn’t have known how to. When I got back to the bus the lady was coping well with the driver, the bloke who had been on the bus with us had legged it.
Have no idea what’s for tea tonight, got Mr T delivery soon so will make my mind up then. OH has been out every night this week so want to do something nice, on the other hand, I have nice hair so wouldn’t mind going out tonight.
Better stop rambling now and get off here and do something

afternoon all
my workmate and i enjoyed our course, a fifty mile round trip so hope the petrol allowance has gone up a bit, we came home with pinwheel sandwiches and chocolate truffles we made in a bag, good fun for Lo's to do, other ideas were sweet waffles and take different coloured fruits to pop in the holes to make a pattern you can do the same with veg in potato wafles also take an icecream cone and fill it with chopped fruit then spoon over fruity yoghurt or squirty cream these were lovely and all ways to get Lo's to eat their five a day
went to the next village to plant flowers at the cemetery then had a walk down the street and went into a wool shop that has just opened and they had beautiful alpaca wool which was so soft
its been a heavy shower of rain but hope to get into the garden later
Penny-Pincher big hugs to you for the treatment you are about to have x

well done Redruby - my certificate is up for renewal in october but I've had the call up papers today.
glad to see you're ok martyn - I'll call off the search helicopters then shall I?
Hugs JackieO, Beth, Smokey, PenPin(what a bummer havign to go in again) and anyone else who I've forgotten.
spent all day saying "is it hot in here or is just me" until one of the ladies (I'm the youngest on the section) took me aside and wondered if I wasn't starting the menopause - hmmmm could be I suppose.
dbro phoned last night with some exciting news about some clever thing that he'd done with a horse race which involved putting quids on various permutations of results - he lost me a bit in the middle but the upshot is that a £61 stake netted him £3000. he has paid off his overdraft, bought a laptop and is treating me to a gig in october - half man half biscuit - so excited.
We had a little Big Brother party last night - not into it yet but expect I will be hooked soon.
have a good evening
stefI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hiya :hello:
Hurray it's FRIDAY! :j
I returned to school yesterday and took the girls in with me. They helped with the children and were a huge hit too. They went to their friend's today and my class were a little disappointed that they hadn't gone in. The girls had a lovely day, climbing trees, riding their scooters and going to the park for a picnic.
My day hasn't been too bad as my class seem to have really matured over the holiday, except for the little boy who had suspected Autism. He seems to have regressed as we have had constant screaming tantrums over everything today.
We're having our usual friday lazy tea of pizzas and chips, but we need to eat early as DD1 is having a sax lesson in preparation for her grade 4 exam next week.
The plans for the weekend are:
Saturday D2 swimming lesson, DH over to MIL's while girls and I to do stuff around the house (change beds, washing, ironing, girls playing out), watch Dr Who, go to a party while my parents babysit:D
Sunday :Big church service with DD1 playing her sax in the service, then the rest of the day read papers, relax(!) and wait for my grocery delivery from Mr T.
I'm determined NOT to watch Big Brother this year. I watched all of BB1 and have followed most of the others, but I'm not getting sucked into it this year.
Life it just tooooooo short!:rotfl:
Have a good evening!
