    morning everyone.

what a lovely day yesterday. got some compost and got all my pots and tubs planted up. planted two tumbling tomato plants and two sugar snap pea plants as an experiment. washing is up to date, and I did think about ironing...for 30seconds.

can't believe my holiday week is nearly over. sorted out some more financial stuff yesterday. cancelled some direct debits for 2 work magazines I can live without and saved £150 a year . shocked that I hadn't realised they were so much as they came off with union fees etc. so my total of savings this week is £280 and because I had enough to pay the house insurance up front in theory I have saved £400 worth of direct debits.for this year ahead!
today visiting mum to take her to visit her sister. will stop at Morrisons on the way back so she can do her shopping and I will pick up a few odds and ends for the weekend.

Hi all - I've just seen DH off the premises and I'm now sitting down with a coffee before I get going on the housew**k.

CATOWEN -good luck with the two children - let's hope you're up to full capacity soon but make the most of the day off!

BETH - take it easy, please. Good luck with the viewings.

REDRUBY - at least he was in the right place!

JACKIEO - have a good time in Norfolk - I lived there for five years when my DH was working on the oil rigs; my DS2 was born there but we moved back to the south in 1985.

Well, DH decided to get up an hour earlier than needed so the hour's surfing I could have got done went out of the window. Still, I've cleaned the bathroom and made the bed and sorted out the washing so not much else is pressing at the moment. DH has request a fry-up for dinner so no real prepping needed for that.

I have a couple of letters to write and I might phone my sister for one of our two hour chats!

The weather is lovely so I hope everyone else is getting it.
Oh well - must find something constructive to do!

    See you later,

    KathyXX

    Morning all,

The wonderful weather is back again. Shame Meanmarie got all the rain while she was here. :D I'm sure living in Ireland she'd be use to it. Had a great Ninny day. Helped make some choc chip cookies this morning and then we went for our walk down to the jetty to throw some rocks in. A small police boat came up and landed where we were. DGS was beside himself and had a big talk to the policeman. Said policeman then showed him all his gadgets in the boat. DGS was fascinated with the gun on his hip. Must be a boy thing. Ninny by this time was completely forgotten. ;):D

I don't have to have him tomorrow now as his dad isn't working. So will go in with DH and do some shopping. Found a really good way to hem jeans yesterday if anyone's interested. I tried it yesterday and will do a pr of DH's tomorrow.
    The tutorial is here.

Cat That's great news. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
Ruby DH was on a bus once when a bloke took a fit. Some of the passengers looked away. Luckily he knew what to do.
Candygirl I don't believe in all that stuff but I know it gives comfort to some. Have you had any other messages?

<hugs> to those unwell/sad. Will pop back later. Off to sort our tea now. Hope you all have a lovely day. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

    Morning All!
Haven't been on here for a week, catching up to do!
First (((((((((((((((((((HUGS)))))))))))))))) to everyone who needs them (Seems like a lot)
Last Friday I went to Wembley to see the Osmonds. Fantastic show, loved every minute of it. Only two things that caused a problem. One, we were in great seats in the stalls, but of course, everyone stood up. I can't stand for long, even with my stick, so I had to watch the screns a lot of the time:o Two, they sang "Through the years" at the end, and my friend and I were in floods of tears over the wods. Me, thinking of my darling Mamma, and she, because the Saturday was the anniversary of her Mum.s death. We were okay afterwards tho.
Had to stand on the tube from Wembley to London Bridge, in loads of pain. A man was sitting in the disabled seat with his wife, and totally ignored me:mad:  So I put my stick on his foot and leant on it:rotfl:

Legs are not right at all at the mo. OH thinks I haven't got over the last relapse. Had to let a collegue take my class to Port Lympe Zoo on Weds, as I couldn't walk it. Sometimes, this illness drives me mad!

Going to the hairdresser at 9.30 so I'd better go.
    Have a good day all!:T

    Morning all! :hello:

catowen - it does sound as though your work is picking up - hope it all works out! :j

hilstep2000 - grrr, it does make me mad when people won't give up a seat on the tube for somebody who's obviously disabled. It's not like the "is she or isn't she" dilemma you get with a pregnantish-looking woman. In your case the stick sort of gives it away. My friend who uses a stick has got a lot more confident about just asking the person in the "disabled" seat if she can sit there. Fair enough, they may have an un-obvious disability of their own, but they can always say so...

Didn't get chance to post yesterday. I went to a funeral of a Great Aunt she was 87 and had been housebound with a stroke for 27 years. It was so interesting getting togerther with all my dads cousins. We ended up comparing photos and deciding whos children and grandchildren look like the older generation. One of my dads cousins son looks the splitting image of my grandad its freaky.
I know what you mean there. I've always wondered where in my family I get my looks and build from. Facially I've got a lot in common with my dad, but my figure doesn't have anything obvious in common with either of my parents. At my Grandpa's funeral in 2001, I met my mum's cousin who I'd never met before (the family are scattered all over the world) and he said I looked exactly like his sister's children.

anniestar - you made me giggle yesterday when you said how cultured I am :o I don't really think of it like that, I just have a real passion for opera and other classical music. You ask me about any other sort of "culture", be it art, architecture, theatre, dance etc, and you'll find I'm pretty much clueless :D

Anyway. I have a piece of work to do today that is dead easy and a bit dull but will at least be easy to focus on and get stuck into (and isn't reliant on anybody else). I have a dental appointment this afternoon _pale_ as I am long overdue for a check-up and I lost part of a filling last weekend. Then this evening I am being a culture vulture again (;) :D) Lunch is going to be HM sausage casserole and rice.

    Love Rzl xx

    Hillstep2000- Sorry about your pain

Well I blame the wooligans--- I have become totally addicted to knitting. Didn't get to bed until 1.35 a.m.

Actually I am beginning to think I have 1 or more of those addictive genes. Love it on here and spend far too much time MSEing.Mr Chalky out playing with his balls ,sorry playing golf this morning so will spray some polish in the doorways and then get knitting again !!!

OS -- still eating soup !!!! 1 freezer all empty and cleaned but loads more lumpy bits to eat yet.
