Hi all - coffee time again!
Aussie - thanks for the tutorial. There's some other interesting stuff on there as well so I shall check out the other blogs later.
Tattycath - (((hugs))) to your DD and good luck at the doctor's.
Jayward (((hugs))) to you.
Taplady - good luck to DS with his exams - it's a stressful time, isn't it?
(((Hugs))) to you Hilstep; so sorry you're in pain and I can't believe that chap didn't give up his seat. I hope you've bruised his foot with your stick.
Chalky - I'm so sorry the knitting is costing you sleep - it is addictive, though, isn't it, and at least it's all in a good cause!
Well, I have spent the last hour sorting through all my knitting and crochet patterns and putting them in a big ring binder; I thought I only needed one binder but I need at least two so I shall have to hunt around for another one; still, at least I don't have lots of loose paper lying around now and can find a pattern more easily. I must stop looking for patterns - I have enough to last me until I'm 110 years old.
I'm going to check my emails and, if there's nothing that needs responding to immediately, I'm going to take a couple of hours out to knit.
See you all later.

Good morning all!
Haven't been on since the weekend so hugs to one and all and an extra big one to those who are poorly or fed up, or just fancy one!
Had a fab weekend with my friend and her boys, did loads of cooking with them, she now has some grasp of OS methods, well I think so! She used to do most of her shopping at M&S, so when her oh walked out her reduced circumstances took a bit of getting used to! Anyway her and the boys will no longer be eating rice or pasta every night now, that was all she could cook! All three of them have realised that it really is simple to make stuff, and following recipes isn't rocket science, besides if it all goes wrong it can usually be sorted out, even if you end up call it something else!
Spent the first few days this week catching up on household stuff and am still trying to clear clothes, have a huge pile of stuff to pass onto my friend to ebay for me, and have passed on loads of stuff to other people for their children - clothes seem to do the rounds here, it's not unusual for someone you barely know to come up to you and say their child once wore that jumper or t-shirt or whatever!
Garden is fairly whizzing along, everything is growing like crazy, especially the grass - had to get a new mower as old one really is beyond repair, not too bad as Argos had one with a free strimmer, and we needed another one of those too. DS will be so pleased when he gets back from school to find he can do his chores, ha ha!
As far as os stuff goes, done a bit of housework, got pizza dough mixed and rising in bm, will do for kids tea, and have lentil soup in sc for lunch. Need to make some cake too.
Got my god daughter and her two sisters staying tonight, which will be lovely, had to organise all sorts to get them all back here as I'm out this aft taking friend to their counselling session again. oh is here, but he is on conference calls all day, so doesn't really want to go out and spend a couple of hours driving around the countryside gathering children! Though it could just be an excuse not to get stuck in the car with them, as he's spent the past 40 mins putting the lawn mower and strimmer together, so obviously not too busy!
Need to do some washing and ironing in a bit, not too onerous as it'll be the clothes I need for the weekend. I'm off to Newquay with a friend tomorrow, it'll be lovely, hopefully we'll get in some surfing, but even better is a night in a hotel and a lovely relax!

Oops afternoon all, apologies didn't manage to get on earlier.
Well we're off later on today to go camping for the weekend so need to pack camping gear and food. Think I'm organised but it usually takes me a few hours to get everything ready and then I'll have forgotton something.:p
Will have a scan round the boards in a mo for some ideas, hope you have a great friday everyone and life is treating you all well.

Hi all. Appointment was a complete debacle-they cancelled the clinic but no one told us because they said we didn't have an appointment, so I showed the mthe card the receptionist gave us last time we were there and she had quite clearly written in an appointment for this morning. :mad:Anyway we were sent up to the children's ward and DD had her BP checked (but nothing else) they gave us another prescription and said we need to go back on 7th July. Let's hope we actually have an appointment this time!!!

JackieO I love the desciption you used of your hair - like a baby blonde peach, It evoked such a beautiful image in my mind. Good luck with the rest of the r-therapy.
Dorry thanks for your morning sickness empathy
Where have our lovely men gone TNG, MATH and Martyn???
My goal for this afternoon is to empty the dishwasher, put on a load of washing, walk to the post box and hoover. Think that's more than enough! Have enjoyed watching This morning (although Ruth whatshername really annoys me) and their 2p sausage segment. Very interesting and food for thought......
have a good day xxxx
I can't promise that all my replies will illicit this responser.mac, you are so wise and wonderful, that post was lovely and so insightful!

Afternoon all :hello: :hello:
I'm still here and I'm doing alright. Apologies and thanks to all for asking about me. I haven't been around for a few days due to me doing a lot of thinking about my life and where it's going. I've also just spent two very interesting days at a "Large Animal Rescue" conference at Lyndhurst, hosted by Hampshire Fire and Rescue Sevice. Aimed predominantly at fire brigades and the rescue of horses and cows, I was there helping the British Divers Marine Life Rescue on their stand and demonstrating how to "rescue" stranded whales and dolphins. They're the folks who rescued the "Thames Whale" and as a trained "Marine Mammal Medic" with them, I was asked if I wanted to assist. I'm glad I did as the whole conference was very enjoyable and very informative. I learnt a heck of a lot of things over the two days and while it's not generally an area of life that I'm involved with on a daily basis, it's nice to have the knowledge for if I should ever need it.
It also made me realise that it's now time for me to sort my life out and so I've decided that as soon as possible, I'm hitching up the wagon-train and moving back up north for good and hopefully get myself working in wildlife at some point. In the short term, I'm not unduly bothered what I do as long as it pays some money. I'll also be single in a few weeks and as I've been given the chance to be happy with a very sweet girl, I'm going to grab it with both hands.
Sorry if I'm "doing a Mioliere"
but as one or two of you good folks have asked where I am, I thought I'd best tell you. Hope everyone is doing as good as poss and is having a good day.
Man try
