I got the "we dont currently want your money" in the week, first time a financial institution has ever refused to take my money.

So it looks like the halifax are going to benefit from about 5 years worth of Mrs snow dogs and my ISA subscriptions.

    Appalling really

April 5th, I applied to have two ISAs transferred to Nationwide: One from Bradford & Bingley, one from Barclays

Would have been better had u completed a Fixed Rate ISA application for each of the transfer ins. ;)

I had a call from NW a couple of nights ago (perhaps because I raised a formal complaint??). Having applied on the 9th April I got an ISA Bond Certificate through last week that covered my transfer from NS&I but the £3.6k was still sitting in my Flexaccount for this years allowance. I'm promised a new one back dated to 1st of May (when NW recieved the cheque from NS&I) that will include this years allowance. So in effect I've 3 weeks reduced interest on the £3.6K that was in a higher interest account.

The £3.6 has been taken so I'm hopeful that the end is in sight.....

    I'm afraid I wouldn't be so positive. :(

I'm in the same situation. Applied to Nationwide on 12th April to transfer money from YBS and also new money from my Flexaccount. They have opened the transferred money but conveniently missed the flexaccount money from my application. They took the £3600 from the flexaccount 3 weeks ago and as I haven't heard anything spoke to them a little while ago. They are saying it is still going to take another 2 weeks!

I used to be very happy with the Nationwide but this experience has been awaful. The ONLY contact THEY have made with me was when my Certificate came through for my transferred money. I have ALWAYS had to try and find out what it going on, and that information was never particularly accurate. I am currently writing my letter of complaint and will be asking for confirmation that the interest on this extra £3.6k is going to be backdated to the same date as the transferred money.

What I am not going to tell them is that I am going to be moving my money away from them after this, I'm only going to telling them I'm thinking about it.

I have 01793 576715, there must be a few different numbers.

The interest on the £3,600 should be backdated to the date you deposited the cheque or thereabouts.
