quote - I have just got so addicted to points collecting now that missing out on 600 points hurts  [/quote]

Oh my god, I was just thinking the same. For the last few months I have been looking forward to 17/18th of the month (change over day in the ACM) more than I have been looking forward to pay day!! I placed an order on .com earlier this week and was really fed up with myself for forgetting to put the code in for an extra 500 points when you spend £50! I wouldn't mind but I did get 2300 ish points and free delivery for spending £61, so I didn't do bad!:T

I have decided that Boots will be paying for christmas presents for my nieces and nephews so have been collecting points left, right and centre!!

Just did an online order after the tip earlier about the double points from fellow mse member.

Ordered 63 packs of the boots wipes that are usually £1.99 but currently on 3 for £3 and also has the offer 200 points per £10 spend.

For 63 packs coming to £62.37 spend bonus points 2400
for order over £60 bonus points 600
used code STKS28 for extra 500 points

    Total spend £62.37
    total points 3689

Wipes less than 45p per pack!! Lucky I have a baby!!!!

I got 2 x nail varnish @ 1.25 each today with the vouchers. SA also scanned in the 250 points voucher. I was very happy. Then another SA came along with a wire basket full of Rimmel Pallettes and Expert tins. The first SA said would I like one as a free gift and gave me a Rimmel Pallette for nothing. I don't know if the Expert tins are freebies as well but might be worth keeping a look out.

How embarassing for you Edinburghlass to be confonted by the SA about it and be told it was a scam. She was obviously talking nonsense if you were then allowed to use it when you mentioned the e-mail, if it really was a scam then surely they would point blank refuse to honour it and have signs displayed in the stores, alternatively they could easily programme the tills not to accept them.

EDIT: If Mr B has made a monumental error here then he needs to get some new IT staff. Every month there seems to be some major glitch that means Mr B "loses money", somehow I doubt it, I bet business has never been so brisk at the No7 counters :rotfl:

Certainly wasn't in the least embarrassing as I said, the SA was/is very friendly (as are all the No7 SA's) I wasn't accused of anything and I certainly won't be posting exactly which store it is and have people calling them numbskulls and similar.

Sorry I bothered posting it now.

It's weird though that Beckton Boots Clearance is selling the med GWP at moment for £1.75 so they can't be that short of them!!

yes odd that and odd to have new products in a clerance store
Stop teasing me 1.75:eek: bargain wish i had known about a clearance boots when i was in london in march. Wish we had one near us. You would think with notts being the flagship store we would have one. Is this the only clearance store? I think i would gladly pay postage it can't be that much can it? don't really want to Spend £5-£10 on it to get one but for £1.75 i would.

I had a strange shop today. I tried to get the lipgloss with the £5 voucher and the SA was going to do it but she didn't the key to overide it so she called the manager. Who of course said i couldn't use it on reduced products but i had picked up one without a sticker on as some colours didn't. She took my voucher and my AC from the SA and led me to the no.7 stand. She would not give me my things back and asked me to choose something else and she will do the transcation herself:eek: I asked for them back as i said well i have untill sat to get something she still did not give me my card and voucher back, She went though all the products i could get which i didn't want i would have got a brush or nail cream but of course she wasn't going to let me do that. She was determined i was going to buy there and then from her. Thank goddness for me my toddler started having a strop and i asked firmly for my things again and held my hand out until she gave me them back and said i will have to go as toddler playing up :p

Does anyone know if, for those of us without a £5 PC voucher to hand, we could try the No7 suncare glitch with the e-mail voucher?

Shouldn't imagine so as it's only meant to be used on Make up. I'm sure someone more knowledgable will be along in minute.

Just been yabbering to tin-tin and twisted the conversation to boots lol

He said something that makes a lot of things make sense...

Time Delay, Botanics, No7, Med, NC, 17, Expert are 'loss leaders' and are expected to loose 30% of profit each year. Ie: If stock value is 1 million, it os only expected to sell for 700k

Apparently marketing do things like this recent £5 off no7 voucher expecting £1.25 purchases as it encourages brand loyalty and therefore means items within the range like foundation, which has a huge profit margin, are therefore bought at a later date etc. They also know full well that web based vouchers will be 'shared and abused' but that is the result they want, which is why we will see more of those types of vouchers in the future(depending on figures this monday though!).

He also said that it was fully expected that the time delay vouchers would be used on wipes/hand cream so people got it for free, head office however do not let the staff know that that is the intention.

So in a nutshell, they know what we are doing in regard to things like gwp at the moment with £5 pc and bogof on suncare bargains...but they love it as it keeps us loyal and keeps us away from competitors.

He said that as boots has now been taken over, some policies may be cracked down on, but it is looking on the whole at the moment, that they are keen to carry on in this way...yay!

Sorry...bit boring I know, but know some of you wonder if HO are daft or clever, turns out they are not daft!
