Just passing on what the assistant said to me, its not me saying its a scam.
SA's say anything they can  and they do

I put it down to them believing that the offers are coming out of their paypacket!:rotfl:
  • I wonder if there is a scam voucher floating around as well - maybe someone has tampered with the original in Photoshop or something and changed it to £10 or something - Maybe that's what the SA was referring to? Wasn't there a case of someone doing exactly this a few months back? Can't remember what it was for, wasn't Boots related as I recall.

I think someone in a previous post (might even be previous thread) mentioned that they had spoken to someone at Boots (CS maybe?) and they said the e-mail was sent to "targeted users", so obviously quite a few, but presumably not to all Bootsers whose e-mail addresses they hold - like how some get mailing vouchers each quarter, some only get them sometimes, and some never!

    Nooooooooo

I still have my Med Preg Bogof vouchers burning a hole and I still can't find the damned GWP!!!!

    (sob)

Where are you Blodwin? Have seen quite a few of these by me but it's probably miles away from you. Would offer to get it for you but I guess the P&P would be extortionate (sp?).

Do the tweezers have to be tweezermans?
    £15:eek:

A lot of us got Pink Bourjois tweezers with a recent £2 off tillspit and I really like them. They look and feel a lot more expensive than £2.95 (we got them for 95p!)
Might be worth having a look at them instore;)

    Hi Clare+3!

My shopping list is a couple of pages back:D I did quite well!
Just as well, as now that I am back fulltime I have less time for Bootsing:mad:

95p gawd thats great! I would give them a go for that price!

I just decided on Tweezermans as they seem like the ultimate in tweezers though using two pennies (as my mum did a few timeswhen we were little) would be better than the useless ones I have right now! :rotfl:

I'll have a look at the Bourjois ones tomorrow, thanks!

  • I must have bought at least 10 pairs of tweezers over the years...and still I use my very first pair, given away with some magazine about 15 years ago...they are quite simply the best, and I have never found any to better them :D

Ok then, has anyone tried this:

    hero.jpg

Currently at £5.75 instead of £7.25...I like the hot pink one (can't remember the name) but wonder how lasting they are - don't want to end up looking like I'm just wearing hot pink lip liner :D

Thank you, that's really lovely of you :A but you're right, it'd be too heavy to be worth it - but I really appreciate the offer.

I'm in the south-west, and am finally coming to terms with the fact that the med gwp is just not worth this amount of stress and (to quote my daughter) 'I should get over it' :rotfl:

Yep bought this a couple of weeks ago . Not too happy with it as tends to migrate into the lines around my mouth! Don't get this with a lipstick or gloss. It is also not the easiest to put on . On the whole would not recommend it!

If Boots REALLY wanted to limit this offer to selected customers then they could do that in a mailing or through the ACM.
Alternatively they could limit the printing of vouchers to one per e-mail address, as Greggs do with their free sandwich vouchers and a one use only link.

How embarassing for you Edinburghlass to be confonted by the SA about it and be told it was a scam. She was obviously talking nonsense if you were then allowed to use it when you mentioned the e-mail, if it really was a scam then surely they would point blank refuse to honour it and have signs displayed in the stores, alternatively they could easily programme the tills not to accept them.

EDIT: If Mr B has made a monumental error here then he needs to get some new IT staff. Every month there seems to be some major glitch that means Mr B "loses money", somehow I doubt it, I bet business has never been so brisk at the No7 counters :rotfl:

ANOTHER EDIT: Funny how the major "glitches" always seem to be on No7...
