If sellers want to try and get clever by fee avoidance then they need to be prepared to take the hit on their stars. Stars are there for a reason, yes we agree to pay before hand but if we are being ripped off why not reflect that by leaving a 3* instead of say a 4*?
EXACTLY! What I was trying to say originally.............0 -

Listed on Saturday 13 items to upload to ebay. I tried to do it last night but didn't have much time when an error message appeared. Tried again tonight and I've got the following message:
Error; you need to accept paypal as a payment method for this listing
I don't like paypal since I think the charges are far to high particularly for items which only sell for a few pound hence I rely on cheque/PO. Call me old fashioned. I'd much rather go to the trouble of banking the cheque and keeping the money myself.
Frustrating or what particularly since I'd gone to the trouble to list the items when I was particuarly demotivated....
In response to other comments when you sell on ebay you need to cover your charges. Clearly the paypal charges are now going to have to be factored in particularly for low value items.
I wholeheartedly agree, even as a buyer, that it has long been pointless for sellers to trade items worth less than say a fiver.
I recently got my daughter some of those disney game cards that are 3.25 in shop, on ebay 2.75, but as they weigh a bit the post was 1.75 so deal was negated. I paid over the odds, but comforted myself that I didn't have to drive into town. Paypal AND eBay want this to happen, they discourage small cheap listings for low revenues to them, plus buyers and sellers can get high feedback say 100+ pos just by turning around 200 quid say.0
