Where to get cheap plastic pots?
Comments
-
I started with 0 pots
Then I bought a few.
Then I bought a few more.
Then one day, I was driving to my home from work and I saw a skip with what looked like garden stuff in. I thought 'probably all rubbish, won't bother stopping.
Next day I drove past it again and saw what looked like a rake on the top. This got my interest so I drove home, threw on some old skip russlin' clothes and lined my boot with plastic. I then popped over.
I got a compost bin, rake, spade, fork, around 200 pots (or more), several camping chairs, (old fold style) old table, plenty of odds and ends, bamboo canes etc etc etc.
Since then I've got all sorts of odds and sods from skips including a large wooden box-shelving unit which goes nicely in my shed to organise stuff, bathroom cabnet, mini table, seed trays, bits of old wood etc
Then one day I popped over to the grandparents and got given lots of lengths of drainpipe, various clips, bits of wood, metal fence post thingies.
Then a friend gave us a water butt, parents threw out an old green wheelie bin (left over from the latest council recycling fad).
Rule is, don't buy it, somewhere probably nearby, someone is just aching to get rid of something and they've been too lazy to or alternatively it's sitting in a skip near you.
Just don't forget to ask first!Tim0
