Where to get cheap plastic pots?

Wilkes (not Wilkos) sell 12 litre builders buckets for 99p each. All you have to do is drill some holes in the bottom.
I got 5 of them the other day for Sprouts and Kale.0 -
I grew carrots last year in a large terracotta pot and I think it kept drying out too quickly. I have looked in my local B&Q and Homebase for the old type plastic plant pots and they don't seem to stock them (only arty farty type stuff).
Can anyone reccommend where I can get some? I don't mind ordering online if it's not too expensive. Had a quick google but there's so many I thought I'd ask you lovely peeps on here :beer:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

Hi there Bitsy,
We too wanted some large plastic pots and couldn't find any. However we did find some in a little shop on the main street in Buxton. I am guessing you live no where near to Buxton but do look in your local hardware shop as they may well have them. Sorry i couldn't be of any more help. Please let me know if you find any online.
Good luck

I bought 8 plastic pots from Morrisons last week for 99p, the pots they keep their fresh flowers in. They are l0inches x 10inches. I am growing carrots in them, but I am trying the golf ball sized carrots this time, so they should be ok in this sized pot. Have you tried the Pound shops for large plastic pots?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I don't have a Pound stretcher near where I live but I will try my local cheapie shop and hardware shop.
I didn't really want to grow in bags as they will be on my decking and I wanted something reasonably nice to look at!I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
