Do you have an Instore? My Dh bought 2 massive plastic terrcaotta look pots for £7 the pair - they're about 2 feet accross the top
Sadly no Instore in my area. Do have a Wilkinson's a drive away so will try there.I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks

I have only skimmed through this thread so I don't think that anyone has mentioned lining your terracotta pots with polythene/plastic.
I used to use old compost bags or heavy duty bin bags. It doesn't matter if they are torn a bit as it it the compost's contact with the terracotta that speeds up evaaporation of the moisture in it.
Terracotta pots do look nicer IMHO0 -
Hi we are going to use compost bags as above and have brought some of the blue bags from ikea 30p each and going to use them. saw in wilkos that they have black bags which are reuasable for 45p and smaller than the ikea bags. Will use some of them aswell and chuck away.0

i have to go with the morrisons idea, and to make them look nice try to plane soem things in painted terracotts pots around them , as the glaze on the pots stops them from absorbing so much of the water....
at morrisons in barnsley they had the flower buckes 100% extra free on some packages of them, but you had to pick the correct pack of them up... absolute bargin!!!!

Hi,
i have some of the Morrisons pots that they used for flowers, absolute bargain if you can get them, also Wilkinsons is great.
I bought two big pots from there last year and this year i`ve bought some of the garden bags and patio bags, they are dark green and packed flat in a clear polythene bag. They already have drainage holes in the patio bags and they are quite cheap and very handy. Easy to store over winter too.
SDPlanning on starting the GC again soon0 -
those bags like the blue ikea ones. Ones filled with soil thay will keep their shape and I think prices range from 35p to 50p
Some companies are selling what remind me as car boot liners as planting bags for a hell of a price.
I picked up some of those green recycling bags from tesco they came in a pack of three. They were reduced to £2.00 a pack they have turned out to be brillant.Kind Regards

It would be a shame to have to buy them as most gardeners accumulate them. over time. I have a lot but they are all different sizes and types. You could wander round your local allotments. Someone there is bound to have spares.0
