The Garden centre chain Blooms of Bressingham also have a collecting point for used and unwanted ones and I think they are free to other customers?
    Worth asking?

I have come across lots of garden centres and nurseries who will give the pots and shuttle trays away - if you let me know whereabouts you live, I might know somewhere near you.

Otherwise, Poundland sell them in stacks, depending on what diameter. Also freecycle perhaps.

My MIL got me hundreds from their local car boot.

    Hope this helps

Our local garden centre has a recycling corner where people can dump all their surplus plastic pots and also help themselves to any they need. If you've got a garden centre near you it might be worth checking out whether they have a similar facility.

i just wanted to say that after reading this post, i asked at my local asda for their black flower tubs, and they asked how many i wanted. I said as many as they cuold spare, and they came back with 35!!!
they only asked that i make a 5p donation to charity for each, so i put £3 in the blind box on the way out!!!

    definitly worth asking!

Ring up a few landscapers. They always have pots left over from jobs and may have the sizes you're after. One landscaper kept me supplied with the really big pots for years.

Was in Asda today so asked at custmers services on my way out, the lady was only too pleased to give me some and spent ages moving flowers into other buckets to free some up, I came away with 13 and put a couple of quid into the collection box. Lady said if any were empty next time I came I could help myself, result!!!
  • Just been in to Asda today and although they said they "should" send them back to the company...nice smile and came away with 35 pots... thank you so much to all who suggested Asda
  • I asked at Tesco today and they said they re-use them. Don't have anAsda near me but will try the co-op, Waitrose or M&S.
