Cleaning, well a long time ago I decded that life is too short to spend my weekends with my head down 3 toilets etc. I employed a cleaner to come in one morning a week, ironing, hoovering, dusting and bathrooms are all done to perfection. I wash at the weekend, sort everything into colour loads or delicates whatever, wash and dry, fold and put away, ironing goes into a seperate basket.

The vac might get a second trip out if there is a spill or we are having people round by arrangement.

I keep my kitchen clean, everytime I use anything I clean it off, wipe down the surfaces and the cooker top, inside oven etc, The extractor filter goes in the dishwasher every week or so. There is room in each cupboard for the stuff that goes in it, for example in the crockery cupboard I have stack of dinner plates, dishes etc so it's easy to put everything away. We use the dishwasher to stack dirty crockery etc so the kitchen looks clean and tidy.

Junk mail and newspapers are the things that can get out of hand and I try to handle them once only.

I doubt if we do 15 hours a month between us and now the children have gone to uni the ironing basket is empty...

I'm the kind of person that at 7.30 in the morning is boiling the kettle for a cuppa, buttering bread for sandwiches, has school jumpers drying in the tumble, is ironing a work shirt for myself (i'm wandering round in a bra :rotfl: ) and is trying to eat some breakfast all at the same time!

That's all divadee needs to learn ....

    ..... multi-tasking :D

divadee? It's all about time-management. Now go and put your feet up for two hours :D
  • 15 hours of cleaning a day, good grief im fed up with cleaning after 15 mins,15 hours would be pure torture.
Apart from that theres more to life than cleaning.

    Totally agree with that!

As soon as I clean it gets messed up again anyway!

I do like things clean and tidy but some people are just obsessed!
