    Fab!
Funnily enough I was looking at the skirting borads in the downstairs loo on Saturday & thinking that they needed a quick wipe down. I still haven't done it. I'll get round to it eventually.
6 hours of housework a day is too much, as is 2-3 loads of washing. I might do a mega-blitz once a month when OH is working weekends, but other than that life is too short.

    It's scary newfunk

But looking at all those dried flower things and dolls that have (?) to be cleaned/dusted everyday .... I'd dump them as well :D

She seems to collect dust gatherers ...

I'm watching it too ... maybe I'm being a bit judgemental, but there's something far wrong & too 'tightly wrapped' about that whole family

i tend to blitz house 3 times a year. downstairs gets a quick clean 2 times a week upstairs when i feel like it, but i do like everything in straight lines so i put the house straight every morning and evening, washing gets done when needed and hubby washes up every night and he does the rubbish, i also make him clean cooker and windows 3 times a year.lifes too short to spend all day cleaning why dont you do some college courses i am doing 3 plus aerobics far more interesting.
That sounds exactly like me!!!! Main areas (lounge, kitchen, bathroom) about 2 x a week. Bedrooms kept tidy everyday but hoovered and polished once every couple of weeks. Dishes straight into the dishwasher after eating, switched on every other day. Playroom tidied when can't open door anymore, guest room/bath cleaned when someone is coming over. Self clean oven, put it on then wipe out maybe once every 2 months. Windows ummmm, inside every other month, outside not since we moved in ! I work 8 hours a day, go out 3 evenings a week and like to spend my weekend with my boys, just hanging out.

Take a feather duster in next time you want to spend a penny. Might as well multitask while you're there as well ;)
  • no i hoover skirting boards daily/every other day and wash them weekly.

I've not touched the skirting boards since I've moved in some months ago, I hoover twice a week and everything seems clean.

Reading some of the responses here, I have to say I'd be more scared of what my presence might cause (e.g. dust) than impressed with the over the top cleaniness, never really feel that cozy in a place the gleaming clean. Surely continous use of cleaning products thoroughout the house on a twice daily basis can't be good for your health or furniture/fixtures anyway.

I agree! She's too soft, he's too anal and the kids are frightened to death of anything outside their clean little house.
Just run, run and keep on running!

It looks like they're rebelling!

    Which isn't such a bad thing :)

It reminds me of the original Stepford Wives!!...Id just like to know, how she can justify cleaning 15 hours a day! Its only an average sized house! I personally think she used the fact her kids were being bullied, to have some company at home. I also think her hubby is a huge problem for her. He is a bully!
